Draught of Desire (Y/N x Draco x Cedric)

Chapter nine

    "Hermione, please you've got to help us" Y/N pleads.
    "Why should I?" Hermione asks. "You are friends with Draco. You know how he treats us."
    "But he's better now!" Y/N cries.
    "No he hasn't. Y/N you've been ignoring us completely for him."
    "Hermione, please listen-"
    "No." Hermione cuts her off. She gets up and walks to the window. A tear rolls down het cheek.
    "He called me a mudblood. Again."
    Cho and Y/N look at each other.
    Y/N walks up to Hermione. "Hermione I am so so sorry. I shouldn't have been so distant, I didn't know he called you that." She continues. "But right now, we need your help to save Cedric, and you are the only one who can help us."
    "We need you." Cho adds.
    "What is it with you and Cedric anyway? Are you guys in love?" Hermione asks.
    Cho lets out a snort and quickly covers her mouth.
    "What? No, no." Y/N blushes.
    "I'm messing with you" Hermione giggles. "He's a good person, just think about it."
    And Y/N does. She couldn't stop thinking about the night he helped her.
    "Y/N, hello? Earth to Y/N!" Hermione snaps.
    "Oh right, you were saying?" Y/N asks in embarrassment.
    "I'm going to help you." Hermione says.
    "Oh thank you so much I-"
    "On one condition." Hermione cuts her off. "I don't want you to hang out with Draco anymore."
    "Oh." Y/N says in disappointment. She did like being with him. "Okay."
    "Thank you." Hermione hugs her.
    "So, you need more information about the herb, am I right?"
    "Yes" CHo and Y/N say in union.
    "Well, have you checked the library yet?"
    "Of course we have, but there was nothing useful."
    "I mean, the restricted area." Hermione says. She is really smart.
    "How didn't we think of that earlier? We're Ravenclaws." Cho says in disbelief. Hermione giggles.
    "Hermoine, do you think we could borrow Harry's invisibility cloak?" Y/N asks. Cho has a surprised look on her face. Y/N forgot that Cho doesn't know about Harry having the invisibility cloak.
    "Wait, I'm sorry but I didn't get enough sleep last night, so can we please do this another night?" Cho asks.
    "You're right," Y/N answers. "We need our energy, shall we go to Hogsmeade?"

The three of them go to Hogsmeade.

It's still pretty early, and there's a thick layer snow as they walk to Hogsmeade.
    "So, Hermione" Cho starts. "Are you taking Ron, or Harry to the Yule ball next year?"
    "God no." She laughs. "I need someone mature, besides, I have better things to do."
    "You're going and that's an order" Y/N says, and they all laugh.
    "Is that Draco?" Cho asks. They watch him sit on a cobble stone fence, with his minions.
    "Watch this" Hermione says, as she takes out her wand, and mutters a spell. A gigantic snow ball starts to form, and flies into Draco's face, and they laugh when they see him fall down.
    "Quick let's go!" Hermione giggles, and they run away.

They go to Dogweed and deathcap.
    "Maybe we can find some information about the herb here." Y/N says.
    "I'll check over there." Hermione says, and walks over to the nearest bookshelf.
    "I'm going upstairs." Cho says, and Y/N walks over to the flower pots, to see if she could find the herb here, or more information about it.
She scans all the plants, when she suddenly sees Draco come in.
    "What are you doing here?" She asks.
    "Oh, nothing" he hesitates.
    "Uh okay, bye" She says awkwardly, but he stops her.
    "Wait!" He says, and she turns to him. " Did you find more information about the herb?"
    "No, I'm looking for information here by the way, and what happened to your face?"
    "Oh, uh some idiots threw a snowball at me, I got victimized." He says in embarrassment.
Y/N is trying not to laugh. "Did you see who had done it?" She asks.
    "No, but I am bloody sure they'll regret it."
    "Will your father hear about this?" She mocks.
    "Oh shut it!" He snaps, and she lets out a laugh.
    "Are you sure the herb is safe?" Draco asks.
    "Yeah, it's under my bed." Y/N says.
    "Oh, okay." Draco says. "I got to go, bye."
    "Bye, Draco."
    Cho and Hermione approach Y/N. "We didn't find anything." Hermione says. "What about you?"
    "No, I didn't find anything either."
    "Shall we go then?" Cho asks.

They leave the shop and go outside again. They walk down an alley when Y/N hears Draco's voice. She turns around and sees Draco and professor Snape talking to each other.
    "I have to do this." Draco says urgently.
    "I'll be the one to do it, Mr Malfoy."
    "Hey!" Y/N shouts. They both look up in surprise.
    "I'll leave you to it." Snape says to Draco, and leaves.
    "What was all that about?" Y/N asks.
    "Honestly, it's none of your business Y/N." Draco spits.
    "No, you owe me an explanation."
    "Why?"
    "Because you're the reason why I lost my friends, and I've been telling you stuff, so maybe it's time you start telling me stuff as well."
    "Goodbye, Y/L/N." He walks off without looking back.
