"I was wondering.. are you a jinchuriki?" The blonde asked the other, watching as his eyes widened in mild shock.
"How do you know that?" He asked, sounding slightly agitated.
"Woah, woah! No need to get angry! I simply wanted to know." He raised his hands above his head, showing his submission.
"Yes, why does that matter?" The male crossed his arms, staring down at the other.
"Well, you see. Your biju seems to be causing you trouble. After all, you've got such heavy baggs under your eyes and you seem to be loosing your sanity from it. I just wanted to see if I could help you." Naruto gave a smile, pointing a thumb to himself. "After all, I'm also a jinchuriki and I hold the nine-tails.
Gaara, not usually one to express his emotions, felt his jaw hit the floor. Not only was the male adorable, but he shared the same pains as him. And even then, he still kept a bravado facade and a smile. How did he do it? He remembered his offer to help him with his biju, so he asked him about it.
"How would you possibly be able to help me with my situation?" The male asked somewhat suspicious, not quite trusting him, despite his claims of being a jinchuriki.
The blonde smiled once more, showing his palms to the other. "I've learned seals from a scroll I was left with after my parent's death. Actually, I was left with quite a bit of things, but the seals were what stuck out to me. They were tricky, but I'm glad I learned them!" He explained himself, his palms glowing a soft green that reminded him of the healing jutsu.
"I suppose that's a plausible excuse. But, theoretically speaking, if I accepted your help, what would the procedure be?" He uncrossed and crossed his arms in a different position this time, still somewhat untrusting.
"Well, that would entail me working on creating a seal that will help you control your biju better, and you simply trying to keep as calm as possible." He explained, which sounded an easy enough job for the restless jinchuriki.
"How about we go to mine and get this over with right away?" Naruto asked, smiling at Gaara. The mall could feel his heart swell at the view, deciding to ignore the feeling further as he followed the smaller man's lead.
Soon, they were both standing before a somewhat beaten door, to which Naruto had to rub the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Sorry, it's a little messy inside." Gaara simply shrugged, pointing a slender finger towards the dent in the door, and then letting it waft over to the broken window, which the man only then realized.
"What happened?" He asked, suddenly feeling weary about entering such a run down building. Naruto on the other hand, couldnt reply, rooted to the spot as he stared at the window and the cracks that surrounded the gaping hole. Feeling slightly annoyed, the red male was about to ask the other why he didn't answer, but decided against it when he met the other's gaze. 'Seems this is the one thing that made him feel safe.' The man pored over, placing a thoughtful thumb and forefinger to his chin, rubbing it in deep thought.
"Well, why don't we enter?" He asked, once he finished. He remembered the blonde telling him that he was also a jinchuriki, which made him guess that his neighbors did this. It hadn't gone unnoticed by him: the glares shot at the boy, insults and pushes purposely orchestrated to crumble the one they deemed a 'demon'. However, he was wondering how the male managed to keep a positive expression. The world had been nothing but cruel to him, and he had every right to turn to evil and get vengeance, but he managed to stay, keep his sanity, fight through it. He had managed what the redhead hadn't, which made him feel jealous of the boy.
Shaky tan fingers neared the doors handle, holding on until his knuckles turned a shade of bleak white at the sheer grip, his other hand wrestling to get the key into the lock. He could see the fear creasing his beautiful features, he could see it in his eyes. The fear of having lost what little he even had in the first place.
Finally, a clinking sound came through to the blonde, signaling to him that he managed to get the keys in. Now for the dreaded part. It took him tremendous amounts of persuading himself to turn the keys. After all, he had a guest and he just had to hope that the home was alright. With a deep breath, and one glance to the curious jinchuriki of the ichibi, he managed to turn the key, leaving it in the door as he let it fall open.
He took his shoes off, taking a first step inside. His hand searched the right side of the wall, eventually trailing over a switch which he flipped, watching as his living room and connected diner got lit up. Upon seeing the state the things were in, the man couldn't hold back anymore, feeling the tears that had already been welling up in his eyes fall freely as he furiously wiped at them.
Gaara was quick to catch the man as he dropped to his knees, resting a, what he hoped would be, comforting hand on the other's shoulder, using his other to pull hi towards himself as he enveloped him in a first ever hug. He felt the need to comfort the guy, knowing full well how jinchurikis are treated. He was already planning on how he would kill the ones that did this to the man's apartment, and for making him cry. It pained him to see the male so upset and he couldn't recall ever feeling such raging hatred towards anyone before, like he felt it towards the villagers.
