As Taehyung entered the dimly lit office, he noticed Jungkook and Jimin engrossed in something on Jungkook's computer. They seemed oblivious to his presence, paying him no attention. Jungkook, making an effort not to spare Taehyung a glare, gestured for him to take a seat.

Impatiently, Taehyung observed the two as about ten minutes passed. They exchanged laughter and seemed to be enjoying whatever they were viewing. His impatience grew, and he couldn't help but glare at Jimin, displeased with the situation. To distract himself, he turned his attention to the set of books on the shelf, examining them intently from afar.

Jungkook, sensing Taehyung's annoyance, decided to tease him further. Clearing his throat, he leaned back in his chair and said,

"So, Taehyung, we were just discussing something interesting. What brings you here today?"  His tone held a hint of amusement, knowing full well that Taehyung was not having it today.

"are you serious right now?" Taehyung darted his gaze back and forth to the two boys." you called Hyojoo and asked her to send the documents."

"Yes I know ! but still what are you doing here!" Jungkook's  voice dropped to a sarcastic whisper, as if sharing a secret joke that only he found amusing.

"You know what! you won Jeon. Here, these are the documents you asked for. I need to go" Taehyung's voice carried a sense of impatience making it clear just how done he was with the situation.

Sensing the growing tension in the room, Jimin decided to diffuse the atmosphere. He cleared his throat and extended a friendly hand towards Taehyung,

"I think it's time for proper introductions. I'm Jimin. Nice to meet you"

Taehyung, although still visibly frustrated, managed a polite nod in response.

"You may leave now"  JungkooK spoke up in a tone filled with both frustration and anger.

Taehyung, though visibly affected by JungKook's tone, nodded in acknowledgment, his jaw clenched as he proceeded towards the door.

"So he is a dick because he was watching something with his friend on his computer ?"

"No, because he is an arrogant and ughr"

"Oh boy, calm down, it's not like you are going to see him often." Hyojoo moved from the coffee machine to the counter handing the order the Taehyung.

"Just take these to table N°4 and put the sign out, we can't take new orders for tonight, we are closing in 30 minutes"

With a nod, Taehyung swiftly moved to serve the waiting customers. As he attempted to put the closed sign at the door, he noticed the same two figures from earlier approaching. Hurrying to secure the door, he placed the sign and tried to close it, but a pair of black boots blocked its path. A sense of dread washed over him as he looked up, his eyes meeting the familiar black orbes.

"It's so nice in here Ms.Han " exclaimed Jimin

"Oh thank you, please have a seat, what do you want to drink? Tae come here!" shouted Hyojoo

"what do you want Jimin?" Jungkook asked while resting his arm around Jimin shoulder and looking at Taehyung.

"I think we should leave, they are about to close for tonight " whispered Jimin in Jungkook's ear.

The sight of Jimin talking closely to Jungkook stirred a wave of discomfort within Taehyung. He clenched his jaw, trying to push down the unwelcome feeling

"Indeed we are close, you may leave now!"

Hyojoo, Jungkook, and Jimin exchanged wide-eyed glances, unable to comprehend the situation. Hyojoo's mouth hung open, her mind struggling to process the reality. Jungkook found himself speechless. Beside him, Jimin mirrored his disbelief, his usual cheerful demeanor replaced by a profound sense of shock.

In a gesture of respect, Jungkook and Jimin both stood up, bowing to Hyojoo, recognizing the gravity of the moment. The room was filled with silence, broken only by the sound of the couple whispers , sitting at the close by table, as they were about to leave the shop.

Under the veil of darkness, Taehyung lay awake, haunted by shame. his own behavior replaying in his mind like a broken record. Anger boiled within him, not just at the situation but also at himself for letting his jealousy and frustration get the best of him.

Loneliness weighed heavy on his chest; he had few friends, with Hyojoo being his closest confidante. He was acutely aware of his sharp edges, the difficulty he faced in connecting with people. This incident served as a stark reminder of his struggle to navigate social interactions, leaving him feeling isolated and inadequate.

His thoughts drifted back to Daegu, memories of Sung Ryung and their friends flooding his mind. The ache of nostalgia mingled with the sting of longing. He longed for the simplicity of those relationships, the genuine connections he once had. As tears stained his pillow, he mourned not just the loss of those friendships but also the version of himself he used to be – carefree, open, and unburdened by the complexities of adult emotions.
