Lauren pov
I sat in the waiting room sniffling as I waited to hear something on onika.
I don't even know how many times I've wiped my face trying to erase the tears that continued to pour from my eyes. Flashbacks of the paramedics working on her in the ambulance came in my mind causing me to slightly gag at the image of her like that.
I rolled around slightly in the seat sick to my stomach as images constantly filled my mind seeing her bloody with holes in her body.
"You ok noonie ?" I heard her aunt ask me and nodded turning to my side in the seat as I gagged again from the sight of her blood on me.
Wayne came over holding his arms out for a hug and I shook my head. He hugged me anyway and I broke down in his arms.
I was sobbing so hard I began to cough causing sky and Tommie to come over. "Lauren calm down baby" sky said wiping my face with tissues.
I nodded constantly hiccuping while she kept wiping my face trying to get me calm.
"You wanna wash up ?" Tommie asked gesturing to my shaky bloody covered hands. "We can go to the house real quick then come back" she suggested.
I quickly shook my head "i w-wanna stay" I struggled out while my body trembled.
"Does your parents know where you are ?" Sky asked I'm guessing since my phone keeps ringing.
I shook my head never breaking eye contact with the wall I've been staring at. "Do you wanna call them back and let them know ?" Tommie asked
"N-No" I shook my head.
The only thing I want is my girlfriend. I need to see her before I even think about leaving this hospital.
They stayed there getting me calm a little as we continued to wait. It took literally all night and soon I was the only person left in the waiting room because everybody else had to leave.
I stayed there alone looking down at the pictures we took earlier in the day before everything happen with tears running down my face.
"Lauren !" I heard causing me to look over seeing my mom and dad storming up to me.
"I've been calling you all ni- Noonie what happened ?!" She exclaimed when she got close enough to see me.
I broke down crying and she reached for me pulling me into her arms while I sobbed loudly.
"M-My f-friend got sh-shot at the game" I sobbed into her chest.
It went silent and I looked up seeing my mom and dad having a silent argument. "Lauren your father want to apologize" she said once it was over looking back down at me.
"For what ?" I asked scrunching my face.
"My heart im sorry but it was me and my boys that was shooting. We seen some people and next thing you know guns got drawn, I tried to calm the situation out of fear of you getting hurt but it didn't work" he said and my face dropped to one of anger.
"you shot her ?" I asked quietly.
"I wasn't trying to shoot no one innocent I sw-"NO !" I yelled cutting him off.
"Y-You shot her !" I cried out and they both began shushing me while looking at me like I was crazy.
"Noonie I know you're upset but lower your tone. Are you trying to get your father locked up ?" My mom gritted lowly.
"He deserves it ! I-I love her with everything in me and you probably just killed her !!" I yelled at him.
"My heart-"No" I whimpered shaking my head.
