Preview: The taste of revenge and new menu encouraged it as it moved outside. And as its figure revealed itself in the open, the centipede followed behind, thrilled.

"AAAARGH!!! What are these? Wait, they seem familiar! I have seen this before! It must be that strange plant that escaped from last time! I need to report this to the chief!" A rock demon inside one of the caves filled with broken pieces of rocks cried out. He looked at his surroundings and his tribesmen that were already but a few pieces of rocks with no hints of life whatsoever lying idly on the ground. Only he survived among the group in this attack and could not help but feel lingering fear.

He desperately ran towards the outside with his crack-filled body and just moments after, his body trembled in fear as the situation outside was far worse than he expected. As far as the eye could see, broken rock pieces rolled on the ground and roots crawled all over the places, while screams of his clansmen could be heard together with mandibles clacking.

"Move! Be careful of the roots! Don't get entangled!"

"Something black is coming! Don't let it get close!"

"It's a poison centipede! Aaah! How dare this weak little critter come here!"

Chaos unfolded as shouts rang out. The Rock Demons cried out here and there as they got entangled and pierced by the roots inside their bodies. They lost their strength and turned into fragments of rocks and pebbles. They became nothing more than gravel scattered on the ground.

He noticed something in the corner of his eye, when he looked over, he saw his usually strong, reliable chief half-knelt on the ground while a centipede coiled around him and roots spread all over his body.

All of these brought him immense despair and pressure before his vision turned black and sounds of rocks falling to the ground ensued.

. . .

The Little Sunflower threateningly approached the Rock Demon chief and swept its thorny vines around the place to clear the area. Any rock demon that tried approaching this place died on the spot as the vines filled with thorns either crushed them or shattered them internally. At this moment, the Little Sunflower had already grown strong enough to directly damage the Rock Demons with its vines and roots from absorbing a large number of souls in the forest and rock demons.

"Did you regret it? Did you regret letting me escape 5 days ago now that I've grown strong enough to overwhelm you and your tribe? MUHAHAHA!" The Little Sunflower's shrill laughter echoed throughout the battlefield. It gradually tightened its roots around the Rock Demon Chief strangling it to death but at this moment, a spear made of darkness appeared out of nowhere and struck its roots and vines that were entangling the Rock Demon Chief!

The roots and vines immediately wilted and died. This stunned the Little Sunflower as it turned around, only to see a towering hound bimbling. This hound is 3 meters tall, had glossy black fur, with pure black eyes and wolf-like features. Its claws and teeth stretch out menacingly and the aura it exudes completely surpasses Low-rank demons! A Mid-rank demon!

The demons all around were terrified. They couldn't move their bodies and stiffened on the spot. Fear took over their bodily movements as they couldn't make an appropriate response to the unwanted guest.

As the Little Sunflower felt its strength, it swiftly picked up the centipede and tried to escape as fast as it could. This action dumbfounded the Shadow Hound that had barely arrived at the last moment.

How could it run away without any hesitation whatsoever? Shouldn't it at least try to fight back in desperation and only run when it realizes it's hopeless? Isn't that cowardly?? How did it even kill the Fiery Hound? These thoughts flashed past its mind before coming back to its senses, "Hurry and chase after it!" instructions were instantly sent out after it reacted.

Although the Little Sunflower is young and lacks knowledge, it doesn't lack intelligence and knows it has no chance of winning. The experience with the Rock Demons already taught it that it was a very weak and pitiful flora in this cruel and bloody place.

Therefore it immediately ran away without even taking a second look at the Rock Demon Chief. It did not care about whether it could take revenge or taste the powerful Rock Demon. What's more, it noticed figures catching up behind the Shadow Hound and felt the sense of danger coming from them. So it did not hesitate to pick up the pace and swiftly rushed out before they could catch up and react.

The Shadow Hound and the rest immediately gave chase even though they just arrived after a rushed journey. Their bodies and minds were tired but they had no choice. It was their master's order. They could only rise through three floors hurriedly in order to catch up with the murderer. Thankfully, they had access to a safe and stable passage towards the higher floor.
