The file bangs hard on the table and everyone on the floor stands up to attention. "What kind of a report is that?! Do you people have any idea what is happening around you?!" He doesn't particularly yell at the person who made or submitted the report- two different people- no, he targets everyone on the this floor.

He is part of that weird death game that we saw in Squid Games. He shoots laser out of his eyes and if anyone moves a millimeter, man, it was good to know you, but your time has come, so goodbye.

"The mines are overworked, there hasn't been any import for the last two months, we have nothing to produce and everytime I asked for a report, I was given made up facts of how everything is great! Is this how you people imagine to keep your jobs?!"

He screams some more in general towards everyone. I've stopped paying him attention, he does this often, now I just let his words in from one ear and out from the other. It's like a radio in the background or a white noise machine.

I'm convinced he thinks nobody would work if he doesn't scream at us atleast once a day. I've worked in this company for the last five years as the financial advisor. Everything in this office was breezy and nice until this man took over as CEO almost fifteen months ago.

Before this, his father used to treat us all nicely, he barely ever yelled and when he did, he had a valid reason. This one just does it as a hobby now. The elevator doors open and our savior walks out.

Oh thank God. One more word from this six foot three inch guy and my ears would've started to bleed. Kunal Kashyap, also, our former CEO and now the company's owner walks towards us and everyone smiles in warm greeting. He smiles back before turning to his son. "You, come with me. And whoever has the report of our previous losses and production quantity, also follow us please."

See, he even says please, while I am convinced his son never even learned that word. I fall back down in my chair. "He is so exhausting." My colleague/friend leans over her cubicle wall with a cup of coffee in her hand. "You want some coffee babe?" You bet your ass I do.

I sip the now lukewarm beverage while she stares at the closed door of the CEO office ruefully. "He screams so much, I wonder how he retains his voice the next day." He probably has that superpower that he got by sacrificing his employees lives.

"I thought you'd be into him." I choke on my coffee, coughing a bit before looking up at her in bewilderment. "I don't know why you would think that." She shrugs.

"You read books Divya, so many of them. And aren't all the book heroes like him?"

"Him? As in Darsh Kashyap? No they are not. They are rich and pretty and yes arrogant but they are also nice and they apologize." She frowns down at me.

"He is rich and pretty."

"No comeback for the nice and apologizing thing I see. All in all, he is not a book hero. He.....is a demon. That was sent on earth to ruin our lives."
