Nami

I hit my 8 month mark of my pregnancy. I've become heavy and each move was difficult. I was constantly having pain in my back and my pelvic floor limiting my movement.

Luffy had been extremely supportive all this time. He understood that we had to avoid every possible fight. He brought me food and even massaged my feet. He was always considere of my needs and this side of him pampering me made me fall deeper for him.

Today was even more special. He had destroyed Robin's flowers and some brunches of my orange trees to make me a bouquet of flowers. I couldn't be angry at him for ruining our garden since the motive behind the distraction was pure and cute.

Every time I hissed in pain he rushed on my side to ask if everything was alright, even if that ment to stop in the middle of his eating session. His loving hands rubbed my back and helped me get up and lay down every day.

His favourite moment of the day was when we were relaxing on the bed and he touched my stomach feeling kicks and punches. He knew his baby was ready to fight. My belly was full of kisses  and caresses.

Robin was exceptionally curious about the growing infant inside me. She had read books of maternity and child raising and she passed some super useful information. I could feel her excitement despite her dull expression.

We were currently sitting in the library readying one of those books. Her's was called "20 things about my toddler" and mine was "The art of painless labour" I was shaking thinking about how little was the time I had left untill that moment comes.

"R-Robin?" She lowered her book and looked at me, "I'm scared..." she smiled genuinely and grabbed my hand squeezing it.

"Everything will go alright, Nami. Luffy will be there to support you and Chopper is an outstanding doctor. He's also gonna be there for you."

"Yes..."

"Do you want me to be there, too?" She asked hopeful.

"Will you?" I said excited.

"Of course!" I saw something light up in her eyes. It's like she wanted me to ask her to be there for quite some time now. I closed my book and placed it on the table before hugging her tightly. It was an awkward side hug since my belly grew so big.

"Thanks, Robin!"

3 weeks later:

I was taking a bath in the tub relaxing my muscles. One more week. That's all it was going to take for me to bring this infant in the world. A World beautiful and cruel, filled with happiness and sadness, with laughter and tears. My baby had to learn to survive, to breathe, to swallow and eat, to crawl, to chew, to stand and talk, to walked, to play, to fight, to scream, to live and all that while its father was conquering the world with his kindness and its mother showing him the way.

I wanted this baby more than ever. I was anticipating the day it'll come and Luffy was too. Every day he'd ask me if today was the day and he'd look disappointed when it was not. He'd later smile saying that it probably stays in for the better. I loved how cute he looked when he talked to the baby. Whispering sweet nothings to the belly and having entire conversations with it. He said that he could hear it talking to him and I laughed.
