Chapter 10

"Mingze?" Murong Qing muttered. "Why?" Luo Mingze asked. "Why are you so nice to me?" Murong Qing asked sadly. Luo Mingze fell silent.

"You are my little brother. Shouldn't I be nice to you?" Luo Mingze said casually. 'My heart is acting strange again.' thought Murong Qing feeling strange. "I know." Murong Qing replied. Murong Qing slowly fell asleep.

The night passed quickly. Murong Qing and everyone continued on their way. During the trip Murong Qing and Ouyang Lanying were seen chatting and laughing with each other. Luo Mingze needless to say his face was very sour.

They stopped at an inn when night fell. Ouyang Lanying did not let Luo Mingze escape at all. Meanwhile Murong Qing went out. Luo Zixin kept watch at the inn.

Murong Qing looked at his informant, who could be said to be a member of Shadow. "Is there any new information?" Murong Qing asked flatly. "Murong Xinyue's actions are very suspicious. It is possible that she is collaborating with outside parties." Said the spy.

"You said she has something to do with the Light Kingdom?" Murong Qing asked. "Not only that, this person has a special identity. A prince." Said the spy.

Murong Qing looked thoughtful considering the information available. "Then they might want to trap you in the plan this time." Add spy. "I know. You go back and be alert. These bastards won't give up easily." Murong Qing said. "I understand." Said the spy before leaving.

"Prince, what will you do next?" Luo Zixin asked. "I want you to return to the capital with Fan Yuxuan. Keep an eye on the prince of the Light Kingdom. If he dares to do anything stupid then report it to my father. He will know how to proceed." Murong Qing explained.

“But…” Luo Zixin was cut off. "This is an order!" Murong Qing said firmly. Luo Zixin had no choice but to comply. Luo Zixin returned to the inn.

Ouyang Lanying walked out. "Where is Luo Mingze?" Ouyang Lanying asked. "He was already drunk so I sent him back to his room. I don't think Murong Xinyue will stop." Ouyang Lanying said.

"Because we chose this path. We can't go back." Murong Qing said smiling. "Then war will start. No one can escape. But I will protect your lives." Ouyang Lanying said.

"I've grown up. I'm not a child anymore but I still want to thank you. Apart from Luo Mingze, Luo Zixin and Fan Yuxuan, you are the only one who supports me wholeheartedly." Murong Qing said smiling sweetly.

"No need to thank me. How about you marry me?" Ouyang Lanying teased. "Still joking? Not funny." Murong Qing said smiling. "You always look better when you smile. So smile more often." Ouyang Lanying said patting Murong Qing's shoulder before returning to the inn. Murong Qing stayed outside and looked at the moon silently.

The rest of the journey went well until they arrived at the barracks. Qingyuan frowned seeing the tense atmosphere there. Liu Dong, General of the Light Kingdom is at the front of the border. The accusations leveled are not small. The Dark Kingdom kidnaps their prince Liao Zhen.

"General Liu, shut your mouth. We never kidnapped prince Liao Zhen." said Yin Qiu, deputy general. Murong Qing shot Liu Dong a piercing glance.

Liu Dong was creeped out by Murong Qing's gaze. "Did you come to threaten me to shut up?" Liu Dong taunted. But Murong Qing's question made Liu Dong shut up.

"Does Emperor Liao know you're making a mess here? Does Emperor Liao know you supports Liao Zhen and not him? Are you able to pay with your life if war breaks out?" Murong Qing asked silencing General Liu. Murong Qing then left there to see his grandfather who was injured by Liu Dong.

"This is the reason you brought me here, right?" Murong Qing asked looking at Ouyang Lanying. Ouyang Lanying nodded sadly. "Why didn't you say so from the start?" Luo Mingze asked irritably.

"Because he knows, my grandson's habit will come in anger and kill General Liu. That will cause war between the two kingdoms." Zhang Ling explained.

"What did the psychian say?" Murong Qing asked. "Just external injuries. Don't worry, I'll be fine in a few days." Zhang Ling said smiling. Luo Mingze was shocked by Ouyang Lanying's words but did not ask again. "I promise you. You also have to promise me, you will come back safely." Luo Mingze said seriously.

"Why do you ask me to promise you something like that?" Ouyang Lanying asked. "I don't want his best friend to die and have him go slaughter everyone in the Light Kingdom." Luo Mingze said smiling. Ouyang Lanying laughed at that.

Meanwhile, Murong Qing came out of his grandfather's tent and saw Hu Yize standing guard. "I need to ask you a favor." Murong Qing said calmly. Hu Yize nodded.

Meanwhile in the capital, Emperor Murong was very angry after receiving reports of the work of his daughter and Prince Liao. The spy that Emperor Murong sent to the border had reported the situation a week ago and today Murong Qing's bodyguard, Luo Zixin, told everything to Emperor Murong.
