1. Ash's Story (Part 7: Kalos)

Chapter 6

"We made it to Lumiose City!" I say as we enter the gate." I say.

"The last time I was here, I didn't have much time to look around, but this city must be the center of the fashion universe! All the people are so well dressed!" Serena smiles as she watches the tower. "And Prism Tower is just incredible!"

"Yeah, it sure is." Clemont says.

"I guess it's okay." Bonnie nods.

I say, "The Lumiose Gym is inside that tower!"

"So you've already challenged that gym, huh, Ash?" Serena asks.

Oh yeah, Serena doesn't know that. I say, "Well, I showed up there and tried to..."

Then I decided to tell her the truth. Serena is confused, "So a gym that wants at least 4 badges? That's a little weird..."

"Actually is not. I mean, there are some gyms that wants to challenge those with at least 4 badges like Norman or Fantina. But what's strange is the fact that it uses electric shocks and trap doors to chase the trainers out..." David frowns.

"Well, since that's the way it is here, why don't we get out of Lumiose City?" Bonnie asks.

"Let's go!" Bonnie says.

"But I've been looking forward to exploring Lumiose City!" Serena says.

"We can do that stuff next time! Okay, let's go!" Bonnie says as both Clemont and Bonnie seem want to leave this place as soon as possible. But then we hear a voice, "Well if it isn't my Clemont and Bonnie?"

"Dad?" "Ampharos?" Clemont and Bonnie say. The one who is calling out to them is a man sitting on a scooter with an Ampharos behind him.

"I'm Meyer! I run an electronics shop in this city along with Ampharos here." The man named Meyer says.

"And these guys here, they're our brand new, super nice, good friends!" Bonnie says.

The man seems to be shocked at first but then he's overcome with his happiness that he bursts out crying? He sure is affectionate.

After we introduce ourselves, Bonnie shows him the mouse Pokemon, "Daddy, this is Dedenne. It's my new friend!"

"So you're an Electric-type as well!" Meyer smiles, then turns serious. "Now you listen to me, son. You should come to the house once in a while!"

"But Dad, you see-" Clemont mutters but is cut off by his dad. "What? Is there some reason you haven't come around?"

Bonnie tries to grab Clemont and leave, "Well, Daddy, we've got things to do, so bye for now!"

Then Meyer says, "Wait, Clemont! I've told you this before... It's true you need to be tough on challengers, but that alone isn't going to help them become better trainers. You need to be a gym leader the Lumiose Gym can be proud of!"

Wait, are you saying that Clemont is the Lumiose City Gym Leader? The two siblings seem to be panicking.

Meyer says, "Ash, Serena, David, Elline, please take care of my kids for me. An don't forget, come visit my shop later! See you soon." Meyer then rides off with Ampharos.

The two of them turn to us, and David asks, "All right, what's this all about?"

"You see... it's like this..." Clemont says.

"Well, we might as well just tell them the truth..." Bonnie says.

At the park, Clemont says, "The truth is... that I really am the Gym Leader of the Lumiose Gym."

Ash asks, "Why didn't you just tell us? And what were you thinking about setting those traps?"

"The thing is, I really was planning to tell you eventually. I'm sorry. It's a long story... I was so busy as a gym leader, I never had the time to invent things like I wanted to, So I decided to construct a gym leader robot who could help me fulfill my gym leader responsibilities and give me more time."
