Chapter Eleven: Coronation

The next day at Ben's coronation, Snow White, the journalist spoke on a tv that Maleficent, Evil Queen, Cruella, Jafar, and Hades could all hear and see due to the TV from Fairy Godmother "At last, here we are, broadcasting live from. The coronation where Prince Benjamin will soon be crowned King. I'm Snow White, bringing you up to the second coverage of who's the fairest of them all!" EQ threw popcorn at the screen and mockingly said "'I'm Snow White.' Who are you kidding? She's definitely had work done."

Fairy Godmother walked over to the stand and Snow White said "Oh, Fairy Godmother looks radiant. And there's Fairy Godmother's wand." "I want that wand!" Maleficent said standing up to get a better look at the screen "Do you? Hadn't heard." Cruella commented getting Maleficent's attention as Snow White continued "Here comes Ben now." refuring to the carage taking Ben and Mal to the building where the coranation was being held. Mal stared down at the blue box she was holding as Ben took her hand "Don't be nervous." he consuled her "All you have to do is stand there and look beautifull. No problem there." he told her "Thank you." Mal said reminding herself that he was under a love spell "Mal, would you wear my ring?" Ben asked "Um," Mal started taking her hand back "Not now. I think it would probably just fall right off of me." she told him and looked back down before adding "I have something for you." "For me?" Ben asked "Yeah." Mal nodded "It's just for later, you know for after your coronation." she told him as he opened the box "Or strength, y'know carbs to keep up your energy." "Always thinking." Ben smiled and Mal laughed nervously "But I can't wait." he picked up the little cupcake and bit in as Mal yelled "No!" "Mmm." he said mouth full "This is really good." he told her after he swallowed "Uh... Do you..?" Mal started not knowing what to say "Mal?" he asked questioning her unusual stutterey behaver "Do you feel alright?" she asked "I feel great." Ben nodded "Would you say that you're still in... That..." she sighed "That you still have very strong feeling for me?" Ben shrugged "Not sure. I mean, let's give the anti-love potion a few minutes to take effect." he said setting the box down "Yeah, okay." Mal breathed before blinking as her brain registered what he said "What?" Mal tried not to yell as Ben laughed "Wha..? You knew?" Mal asked "That you spelled me? Yeah, yeah. I knew." "I'm... I can explain." she tried "No, no. Look it's fine. You had a crush on me. I was with Audrey. You didn't trust that it could happen on its own. Am I right?" he asked "Yes." Mal lied and chuckled nervously "So, then, how long have you known?" she asked "Since our first date. Your spell washed away in the enchanted lake." he told her and Mal looked confused and asked "So, what? You've just been faking it since then?" Ben put his Beast ring on her finger and kissed her hand before saying "I haven't been faking anything." Mal smiled as the carriage pulled up to the entrance.

Ben helped Mal down as the Evil Queen gasped as they watched it on there TV "Well if it isn't..." she started "My daughter." Maleficent interupted "Looking like some kind kind of..." "Princess!" Snow White finished for her "Now let's see who this beauty is wearing? Evie?" EQ got up and yelled "Evie! That's my... Evie!" "Someone named Evie designed her gown." Snow White shrugged "That's my daughter!" Evil Queen said proudly "Ow wow, she sewed a dress. Meanwhile my girl duped the prince and she's this close to grabbing the magic wand." Maleficent reminded "Bitter, party of one." Evil Queen said and Hades laughed before getting a toe stomping by Maleficent "It's happening, people! It's happening!" Maleficent clapped her hands "I say gird your loins, gird your loins! Villains, our revenge begins today." they all laughed wickedly before the fanfare started to play.

Ben walked Mal up the stairs where they met Ben's parents "About the other day, I just..." Mal tried to apologize again "I told Ben this wasn't going to be easy." Adam said "You also taught me that a King has to believe In himself. Even when it isn't easy." Ben reminded "I did?" his father asked as Belle slapped his arm "I... How very wise of me." "Ben, we are very proud of you. You keep listening to your heart." Belle said holding holding her son's hands "Thanks, mom." Ben told her "You're gonna make a fine King." Adam told his son before taking his wife around the building "Wish me luck?" Ben asked his girlfriend as the usher cleared his throat for their attention. Mal chuckled out a 'good luck' before walking off and Ben entered the building prepared to be crowned King.
