Screams, laments, fire.

Amazing how in ten minutes after the army entered the small, peaceful village, only ash and dead bodies remained. Houses made of straw and bricks were consumed by massive flames, and the inhabitants; mothers with children fled in terror like panicked mice in every possible direction. Men, husbands and fathers threw themselves into battle to defend their homes from cold-blooded, murderous reptiles the color of dark purple, armed to the teeth with indestructible blades.

The Shadow Brigade, under the command of Captain Polaris Chumsworth, one of the sons of Grand General Arcturus, struck first thing in the morning at the village that was the army's target and an obstacle in their path of battle. Polaris stood on a hill not far from where the deadly raid is taking place and watched and listened with dark satisfaction as the village and its inhabitants fell. Next to him, one of the soldiers suddenly appeared out of nowhere and saluted.

- Captain. I inform you that the village has been destroyed and looted, as ordered.

- Excellent work, Corporal Monk. Please make sure that none of the witnesses managed to escape. - Polaris spoke in a calm, cool tone.

- Capture the captives? - Monk asked and raised an eyebrow.

Polaris only smiled and shook his head. - No. We will not play meaningless games with them, humans are expendable. Kill them all.

Monk looked at him in shock. Polaris looked at him out of the corner of his eye and sent him a dangerous smile, making him flinch. - Is there a problem, Corporal? Should I report to General Arcturus that you have a problem following simple orders?
