"You will be perfectly safe my darling." Visenya said, stroking Daena's cheek as her wife lay herself on the stony slab deep in the annals of the Red Keep. Her violet eyes were unsure but she trusted her lovers with everything within her and so she merely nodded.
Rhaenys appeared with a bundle in her arms, closing the chamber door behind her as she joined Visenya by passing the wriggling bundle over to the older woman. Daena had to look turn her head from the glint of the hatchlings eyes in the fire light. She did not know what Visenya needed to do with the newborn dragon but she was sure it was nothing good.
"It must be done." Aegon whispered comfortingly, pushing back some of Daena's silvery gold locks from her face as he knelt beside her. "For our line, for you."
"I know." Daena said quietly. "I merely wish it did not mean harm for life."
Aegon nodded, caressing her skin before placing a tender kiss on his beloveds lips.
"You blossom under kindness, ñuha dāria." Aegon said as he pulled away, a look on his face which Daena could not name. "Like a rose." ( my queen )
"Please Aegon." Visenya tutted, busying herself with her own preparations. "She is no rose, she is a dragon."
"And the most beautiful dragon of them all." Rhaenys finished, ending what would be one of many quarrels between the elders of the Targaryens. She knelt on the other side of Daena, threading her fingers through her hair. Rhaenys always knew exactly what to say, leaving a flavour of honey and gunpowder in the air with every word.
"It is time." Visenya stated, turning to the stony slab where Daena was surrounded by her lovers.
"Remember, you do not have to do this should you not wish to." Rhaenys muttered gently, holding Daena's face in her soft hands. "This is entirely up to you, sweetling."
"This is what I want." Daena said carefully, her voice being held as steady she possibly could hold it. "This is all I have ever wanted.
"Then let us begin."

A full moons turn had passed since that night and Daena could feel herself changing. It was as though flames had been licking at her womb since the moment the blood of the hatchling had been washed from her bare skin. From the moment she had swallowed it.
The court as well had noticed a change in the dreamy Targaryen Queen. She was always a beauty, yes, a marble nymph with angelic eyes and unearthly lips and yet ever since that night where she had risen from the annals of the Red Keep, she had seemed perfectly unreal. Practically demonically ethereal, not of this world.
"I adore you." Aegon had whispered against her neck as he thrust into her that night as she whimpered with her head thrown back against Visenya's chest. "So soft. So diabolically angelic looking and all mine... all mine."
"Ours." Rhaenys corrected, capturing Daena's lips.
"All ours." Visenya had whispered.
And they not strayed far from their wife over this past moon. Daena's was never alone, always with one of her lovers following close behind her, spoiling her terribly as her every whim was catered to. And of a word was spoken against their dear little wife, many a nobleman had found his lands taken and children disowned.
