"Alright, it's time," Hyerin was overcome with anxiety. Currently, Sooji and her were making their way towards Pulsar Pop Entertainment's imposing headquarters. Pulsar Pop had a long-standing reputation as a massive company responsible for the creation of numerous famous groups over its 25 years of existence. Debuting with this company was practically a guaranteed success.
"Hey, no need to worry, okay? We're all in this together," Sooji reassured Hyerin, gently holding her hand. Their bond had grown stronger in the days leading up to this significant moment. They had already been close before they met, but now they were inseparable.
Hyerin smiled and nodded in agreement, reflecting on the journey they had undertaken to reach this point. There was no turning back, and she had no intention of backing down now.
Finally, after a lengthy walk, they reached their destination, where Yoonji and Soomin were waiting for them in front of the building. Yoonji was known for her punctuality and strict adherence to schedules, whereas Soomin had a reputation for being chronically late, often irking Yoonji. Because of that, you would expect that their closeness is quite unexpected.
"You're late," Yoonji declared, showing her phone with the time "9:13 AM" displayed on it.
"I thought the meeting was scheduled for 9:30-"
"Yeah, but we agreed to meet here at 9:00!"
"Calm down, Yoonji, it's not the end of the world," Soomin reassured her, placing a hand on Yoonji's shoulder to calm her down.
"Anyways, let's just get inside" Sooji said as she entered the building, with the others quickly following behind. Upon entering, they proceeded to the receptionist's desk.
"Hello, how can I assist you?" The receptionist greeted them with a warm smile.
"Hello, we're here for a meeting with the CEO."
After a brief conversation with the receptionist, they were directed to the room where the CEO himself was waiting. At the door, they encountered seven other girls, presumably their fellow contestants. Two of them were Eunmi and Jiwon, but before any introductions could take place, the doors to the CEO's office swung open, and they were invited inside.
"Hello, girls," said Kyungsoo, the CEO of Pulsar Pop. Kyungsoo had been a highly popular artist in his heyday and had transitioned to the role of CEO when he could no longer dance.
"Today is primarily an introduction, not just to the building to give you an idea of how the show will run, but also to your fellow contestants." As he spoke, the girls started to glance at each other, some smiling while others remained uncertain.
"It's also essential to note that the number of contestants who will debut is not fixed, so any one of you could debut, or we may select two or three."
After the meeting, all the girls were free to explore the building. Before Yoonji, Soomin, Hyerin, and Sooji could leave, they were approached by two enthusiastic girls, who were revealed to be Jiwon and Eunmi. After this brief reunion, they decided to head home and pack their belongings since they would be staying in a hotel during their time on the show.
