After the announcement of the dancing performance rankings, the girls were able to have a little break to talk with each other.
"I did horribly didn't I?" asked Heejin with tears rolling down her eyes.
"What? No!" Yoonji said while grabbing Heejin's shoulders.
"You were so good!"
The other girls got closer to Heejin and Yoonji and comforted her.
"It's not the end of the world! I'm sure you'll do great at the vocal evaluation! You just need to be confident!" Jiho, one of the girls said.
"I just know you do great in the next evaluation, trust me okay?" Hyerin said hugging the younger.
Not long after the whole ordeal, the CEO announced that the singing evaluations would start, and with this, all of the girls took their seats once again.
"Now for the vocal evaluation, the first one will be Yoonji."
The girl mentioned slowly walked towards the middle of the room standing there while waiting for the CEO to say something.
"You placed sixth in the dancing evaluation, which was not bad considering the level of all the performances here." The CEO declared while looking at his notes about all of the contestants.
"You may start."
Yoonji started to sing her song which was "I AM" by IVE, a very challenging song to sing. After her performance, Kyngsoo, the CEO, praised her way of conveying her emotions while still giving her some feedback on how she could improve her skills.
After some performances, it was Heejin's turn, she was confident, with the mindset that if she was nervous she would never achieve what she wanted. She got up and walked to the dedicated space for the performances.
"You placed last in the dancing evaluation, even though you said that was the skill you were most confident with. How did you keep your mind at ease to this evaluation?" The CEO asked fiercely at Heejin.
"I tried to have the mindset that if I kept being nervous, instead of focusing on my dream and focusing on my mistakes, I would never get what I wanted. So that probably was what helped me the most."
All of the girls that were watching were holding each other's hands and hoping that everything would go right on Heejin's performance.
"You can start your performance." The CDEO said, Heejin nodded and gave a thumbs up to the staff signing them that they could play the music. The girl started to sing her heart out, unfortunately for her, she didn't reach some of the notes of the song, but she still gave the best she could despite everything. After the performance, she received a loud round of applause from all of the girls and the CEO.
"Despite of you saying that you weren't as confident in your singing as your dancing, you proved to me, that with the confidence needed, you absolutely could reach what you wanted!"
This comment instantly put a smile on Heejin's face, making her extremely happy that her efforts didn't go to waste.
"Even tho you didn't reach some notes, you still tried to hit them, and just because you tried, already proves that you have the confidence needed." The CEO continued to praise her and gave her some advice on how she could improve in some aspects.
"But you can't go nowhere with just confidence, you also need to practice a lot, and I hope to see that from you."
Right after Heejin's performance, there was Hyerin who was also praised a lot but was criticized a little because of the lack of emotion in her performance.
After Hyerin's performance, there were also some performances left, one of them being Yuna's performance, which unfortunately had a big voice crack in the middle of the song, and was unable to finish.
When all of the performances were done, the CEO excused himself and walked backstage so he could decide the rankings of the singing evaluation.
"Here with me, I have the rankings for the singing evaluation." The CEO said as he entered the room with a paper that seemed to have the rankings. All of the girls started to look at each other, while Yuna just looked down at her feet while looking down.
"In eleventh place we have..." Tears started to go down Yuna's face as he was about to announce who it was.
"Yuna."
The girl couldn't hold back anymore, she started crying. Some of the other contestants that were beside her were trying to comfort her.
The CEO announced all of the rankings, with it being, from last to first: Yuna, Heejin, Haeun, Jiho, Soomin, Minji, Hyerin, Jiwon, Eunmi, Sooji, and Yoonji.
"Now for the final ranking of the individual performances, unfortunately, we'll have to let go of two of you today." The girls' hearts dropped, none of them expected that there would be eliminations this early in the show. None of them wanted to say goodbye.
"From first to last, I will announce the contestants that will go to the next mission." All of the girls got closer to one another and started to hold hands.
"First place and first contestant to go to next mission is..." The girl's grip tightens.
"Eunmi." The girl mentioned lets out a sigh of relief, while the other girls cheer for her.
"In second we have Sooji." And like the CEO starts to announce each girl in order from first to last that would go to the next mission, the order being: Eunmi, Sooji, Jiwon, Yoonji, Minji, Hyerin, Soomin, Jiho, and Haeun.
"Unfortunately, Yuna and Heejin, we weren't able to choose you yet." Both the girls broke into tears while hugging each other.
"I know you two will go big in the future, but unfortunately this was not the time.." The CEO said.
All of the girls were hugging Yuna and Heehin, who were crying uncontrollably. None of them wanted to say goodbye, especially because they knew they would probably never see each other again after this.
