Caitlin tapped the pen on the notebook while thinking about her next move.
Her mother's ball was getting closer and closer and she didn't know what to do about it. Carla expected her to come, and she wanted to go but it's been a long time since she was around scientists, well, at least the ones that didn't fight meta-humans and supervillains everyday. All of them there would be talking about their accomplishments and in all honesty, all Caitlin did was to stay at S.T.A.R. Labs and sometimes help her friends.
To be frank, she didn't see a point of her being part of the team Flash. She did nothing. It was Frost who fought side by side with the Flash and Vibe. She was just unnecessary addition. Yes, she patched up Barry from time to time but who was she kidding? He had super speed!
Her train of gut-wrenching thoughts was interrupted by her best friends, Cisco's and Barry's loud arrival.
"My dear Caitlin, you've been blessed to witness the grand Jedis arrival!" Cisco's voice boomed, making Caitlin flinch a little.
"How fortunate I am." She grunted sarcastically. "Should I bow or something?"
"No, did we teach you nothing?" Barry frowned. "You supposed to be a senator, so we treat you with respect."
"Nice." Caitlin rolled her eyes and saluted them. "Can I help you two kids with anything?"
"Killjoy." Cisco muttered. "At least you could've quoted something from the movies. But, for your information, we indeed are in need of your assistance."
"I'm listening."
"Do you want to play laser tag with us?" Cisco and Barry asked with puppy dog eyes, a gesture Caitlin was absolutely weak to.
"But... Aren't you guys even already?"
"So? We wanna play with you." Ramon argued. "And you're in my team." He grabbed her hand before Barry could say anything.
"No fair!" The scarlet speedster argued. "Cait's better at this than us!"
That was true. Surprisingly, Caitlin was better than Barry and Cisco in laser tag. At first, she was even worse than a five year old kid, but overtime she played so much because of her best friends that her gaming skills improved significantly.
"Well, I was faster than you." Cisco winked causing Barry and Caitlin to chuckle.
"Let's go before I change my mind." Caitlin decided and urged the boys to go. Cisco opened a breach and in matter of minutes they were engulfed in a fight of their lives.
"Sooo, who wants to watch Star Wars?" Cisco wiggled his eyebrows as they finished playing and were walking towards Caitlin's apartment.
"I do!" Barry grinned and quoted something from the franchise.
"I don't but what choice do I have?" Caitlin sighed, well aware of the fact that all of her attempts would go to waste. When Cisco put up his mind, there was no changing it.
"You should feel lucky, young lady. We bestowed you with the title of Senator Amidala." Her best friend replied. Caitlin tried to remember which one Senator Amidala was, probably the one who was played by Natalie Portman. She was fine with that, she liked the actress. "Barry is Anakin Skywalker and I," Cisco paused for dramatic effect. "Am Obi-Wan Kenobi."
Barry and Cisco looked extremely proud of their titles and Caitlin fought the urge to laugh at how silly they looked.
"As long as I do not have to listen you talk like Yoda." She raised her hands in surrender and pushed the button and waited for the elevator.
