(This chapter contains possible hints to SH and body shaming. I don't glorify of encourage either of these, please keep that known. This is also a warning if you're sensitive to these.)Rain flew down onto the Earth's surface at a quick pace. It didn't have mercy for those caught within it's wrath. Many stayed inside, in fear of the hurricane every News channel spoke about.
One of these people was Enitan. They sat on their bed, staring at their phone's dark screen. Upon it was paragraphs upon paragraphs of his favorite horror genre; Creepypasta. The red letters gleamed brightly at the top of the page. Small white paragraphs lined the screen below.
The story he'd been reading was Jeff The Killer: Rewritten. He liked the original, but it seemed unrealistic.
While Enitan read, he ran a finger against huge blotches of leathery skin on his arm. It gave him a comfort strangely. Enitan had gotten the markings from a house fire a few years back. The fire left him forever scarred, mentally and physically.
Enitan looked up from his phone and looked over at the rain covered window. They wondered what it would feel like in such high winds. Of course, his aunt and uncle wouldn't let them. Neither one wanted to lose them. Enitan rested his head against the window and thought.
They wondered what life in the Creepypasta world would be like. What it would be like if Jeffery Woods suddenly appeared. Would he kill him or would he recognize Enitan as someone who understood him? Enitan let out a laugh, 'Like he'd willingly hear me out.'
"Enitan! Dinners ready, come downstairs!" Aunt Cheryl called from downstairs.
Letting outa groan, Enitan rose and headed downstairs.
—————
Dinner was a crappy as usual.
Aunt Cheryl kept asking question after question like a police officer. Meanwhile uncle Brad was chewing louder than needed. Every second there was a 'slurrp' and a 'munch'. It made Enitan want to dig his nails into the wooden table.
"Are you not hungry? You haven't touched your food, it'll get cold," Aunt Cheryl said, taking a bite of her own. 'I'm not eating it because it's shit,'Enitan wanted to say. Instead, he said,"I'm just not hungry."
With a mouthful of peas, uncle Brad said,"You should eat, get some meat on those bones. You're as skinny as a twig."
Enitan stared at uncle Brad with a judgmental gaze. 'I'd rather be a twig than a pig.'
Rising from their seat, Enitan picked up their plate and walked over to the trash. They weren't able to take this crap anymore. After cleaning their dishes up, Enitan began to walk upstairs. That was when uncle Brad called out to them, "Uh, excuse me but I didn't hear you excuse yourself."
Through gritted teeth, Enitan said,"If you will excuse me, I'll be going up to my room." They then went back upside to their room. Hopefully some mindless reading could help calm their nerves.
