present time - 2000's

location - Freadbear's family dinner

Dylan stood tall in the room her metal self resided in, her eyes closed from being turned off for the day, like everything else in this God forsaken place. She was patiently awaiting for the breakers to finally be turned on so she could roam around and keep everything in order, without the new night guard getting in her way, like they always seemed to do.

One by one, the lights finally came on, the blonde's green eyes opened up as she looked around the small hidden room behind the stage. She stretched her arms up, generating a yawn to leave her mouth. Her hair was up in a messy ponytail as her usual waitress outfit was turned in for a guard uniform that her boss had made her change into after the restaurant fully closed.

Her face opened a bit, stretching the muscles in her joints, all the wiring and glowing veins showing for only a minute. Her hand went towards the handle on the door after finishing her stretching, turning the knob and leaving the room, her built in roller skates pushing from her shoes as she skated down the dank hallway. Her face was in a neutral expression, all joy she once had gone and forgotten. It was time she met the new hire her boss strictly told her to watch. She obliged obediently, like how she was programmed to be.

She stopped at the exit of the hallway, opening the door, her shoes going back to normal as she walked out and into the front of the restaurant, memories of children laughing and screaming, following her around and listening to all of those stories her and Foxy would tell them. Everything was happy, she was happy and with the young child she had to take care of when he was busy.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard the sound of footsteps and a light flashing its way around the place. She stepped from the doorway and made her way towards the sounds, before the light was directed at her, after a sound from behind got his attention. From the distance and the light glaring from her metal body, he could barely see who it was.

"Hello?" He asked, walking up to her, his footsteps steady as she shielded her eyes with her hand.

"Could you put that damned thing away," Dylan hissed in annoyance. The man put it down to see the woman in front of him, her uniform consisting of the same night guard uniform.

"Who the hell are you?" He questioned rudely, not in the mood to deal with a thief. He apparently couldn't see the security vest on her.

"Dylan, I'm your partner." She spoke. The man looked skeptical, "what's your name newbie?"

"Mike," he told her.

"Good to meet you Mike," Dylan said, holding her hand out to him. Mike looked at it before grasping it, his breath hitching at how cold her hand was. Dylan shook his hand with a tight lipped smile. She hated new hires, and this Mike character seemed like one of those asshole types and she wouldn't feel any ounce of sympathy if the children decide to kill him like all of the others. But she knew it wasn't just them, it was him who controlled their movements when it was time to kill more innocent people. Her memory drive though has been a little fuzzy these past few years, like her brain was slowly deteriorating, she hadn't a clue why, but she'd always get fixed up if something happened to her. Either by Vanessa or the one who made her like this.

"Yeah, likewise," Mike let her hand go, the green eyes of hers gazing at him, her thoughts long gone. She wondered why he would hire him of all people. "So, I didn't see you come in, or did I see any other cars outside. Did you walk here?" Mike asked.

"Oh, Mike, I'm not like you." Dylan said, tilting her head, part of her face falling to the side so he could see the inside of her face. Mike jumped back in surprise. She put her face plate back, watching his own. He looked a little creeped out, but she didn't see any type of disgust in his features.

"Please don't do that again." Was his first response, she looked surprised, her eyes widening. Usually the night guards would be frightened and tell her to stay away from them or would look at her in disgust. Something inside of her felt warm, her mechanical heart fluttering.

"Sorry," she said, "I didn't frighten you, did I?" She had to ask him, she was curious.

"No, just a little creeped out." He admitted. her lips turned upwards, a soft look on her face as she gazed at the taller man. Maybe she was wrong, maybe she'd feel a little bad at sicking the others on him. Mike looked at her and saw the soft gaze, which caused his face to turn a slight red shade. No woman has ever looked at him like this before, so it was something that flustered him easily.

Unknown to the robot and human, a third party watched the scene with the optical lenses that were Dylan's eyes. The glare was pointed to the screen, the remote in his hand was tempting to push, to control her and let her kill him by her own hands instead of his, but it wasn't a part of the plan. He hopes she wouldn't mess anything up for him, or he'd dismantle her himself.

"Still a trouble maker you are Dylan, let's hope you don't make any more mistakes." He sneered, slamming the screen on his desk.

note: so, how was chapter one? Also, not Dylan going from "I hate you" to "show me affection human" like bro T-T Peepaw, please leave my girl alone, she's just trying to experience friendship and love for the first time.
