Dylan stood next to Vanessa as she screwed bolts into her face plate as Abby smacked her book down that read "fort". The three humans looked down at the drawing of this so called fort. The animatronics above them watched, squinting their eyes at what Abby was showing them. "It needs to be big. So we can all fit inside." The animatronics blinked at her. Mike sighed, turning to his sister as Dylan hit the side of her head, trying to push her eye back into her socket, he glanced over at her, inwardly cringing. Vanessa looked over at her mom, wincing.

"Abby, look." He turned his attention back to the young brunette. "Now, this is all really fun and exciting, but these things are big, and they could be dangerous, so I think we need to lay some ground rules, all right? Vanessa, Dyl, what do you guys think?" Mike asked the two blondes. Both women looked at him, as Vanessa let an exhale out.

"I think we could use the tables for the fort." Vanessa said.

"And maybe use the chairs to keep the blankets steady. I could go grab them actually," Dylan said, smirking at the look he gave them. She pocketed her screwdriver.

"Everyone, follow me. Come on." Abby giggled as Dylan left to find the blankets. Mike watched her leave, debating if he should help her or stay with Vanessa and Abby.

"Go help her Mike, I'll keep an eye on Abby," Vanessa knew. She always knew, even if this was going against everything her father had installed in her. She wasn't supposed to feel, but the AI was to advance to not, especially when Dylan had raised her for most of her life. Mike looked at Vanessa and nodded, going after Dylan. The blonde watched with a sad smile.

Dylan dropped blankets on her arms as she gathered the dust covered fabric. This would probably be comfortable enough for Abby and Vanessa if they fall asleep. The others would be building the Little fort as she grabs these messy piles. Maybe she --

"Need help?" Mike asked, startling her as she dropped the blankets. Mike rushed to her and kneeled down to help with the blankets. "Shit! Sorry Dyl, didn't mean to scare you."

"What are you doing? Your supposed to be helping with the fort." She spoke, her voice deep with venom and another emotion he could only guess was hurt. He hurt her last night, because of the way he acted.

"I am. But, I wanted to help you." He helped her pick the blankets up, the two now standing as she glared at him. "And, I also wanted to tell you I was sorry for how I reacted last night," Dylan sighed.

"I understand Mike, but you have to realize that I didn't intentionally betray your trust." She said, her faceplates moving unconsciously with anxiety. "... I just. If I had told you, you would've left me. I couldn't bear to think that I would be alone again. All we knew was isolation, they can't grow up and I can't grow old. I'm just some stupid machine, I'm not real, I never was real." she didn't mean to rant, but she couldn't help it. Mike was here, looking at her with those brown oceans, his lips pulled into a frown as he stared at her. She knew he felt something for her, but she couldn't allow herself to feel the same thing. She couldn't. She wasn't real, but he was. He was real, all of him was.

"Dylan..." He spoke softly, she shook her head.

"... i'm not real mike. my whole life isn't real, none of it is. but you and abby, you're real." She said, the blankets dropping from her arms. She wished she could cry, but it was taken from her. He dropped his own set of blankets and cupped her face, getting her to look at him.

"You're real to me..." He spoke. Her voice sounded chocked up as it glitched, she looked at him, her fans working on overtime as they stared at each other, her skin felt hot. Was she overheating this time? Her fans were working, but she felt hot and her stomach felt a sudden flutter. She realized, in that moment, that what she felt for Mike wasn't Platonic, it never was, and he has seemed to understand that a long time ago. "... You are real to me Dylan, okay. You are real." Mike spoke, desperately trying to drill the information into her head. Her plates opened a bit when closed as she looked at him, her hands going to his wrists.

Neither knew who leaned in first, but they didn't care when his lips touched hers. She let go of his wrists and grabbed his waist, Pulled the two closer together as they kissed. Mike couldn't believe he was kissing her, he never thought he would ever be able to hold or kiss her. He could tell that she was inexperienced, but he could care less.

After a few moments, Mike pulled away first, inhaling slightly at the lack of oxygen. He forgot she was a robot for a second, she doesn't need to breath, but he definitely does. She must've forgotten to, cause she cupped his own face. "Oh my God, Mike, I am so sorry! I forgot you're human!" He chuckled tiredly at her, waving her worries off.

"No, no, it's fine. See, I'm fine." He smiled at her gently, giving her forehead a small kiss. She sputtered in surprise at that and wrapped her arms around his waist, burring her head into his chest. She felt embarrassed. That was new. She liked it.

She liked him. So much.

"It needs to be higher." Abby spoke as everyone had gathered multiple tables and chairs, stacking them. Dylan shook her head, smiling at the young brunette who grinned at her. Foxy and Bonnie were the two who had put everything together, and put them much higher. "You did it!" Bonnie fell backwards, which had Abby and Dylan running towards him.

"Bonnie, you okay?" Dylan asked, worried that one of her kids had gotten hurt. He gave the two a thumbs up. Vanessa gave Abby a small thumbs up. Mike came up to Dylan, his hand going to hers, she smiled at him.

The big group laid underneath the fort, with Dylan between Bonnie and Mike, her hand connected with Mike's as her eyes closed. "I like it in here." Vanessa said.

"Me, too." Abby spoke.

"But I think it's gonna rain soon." Vanessa said, sitting up slightly and looking over to the three, "sounds like we need a roof. I'll go see what I can." Mike squeezed Dylan's hand.

"I'll, uh... I'll - I'll come with you." He let go of Dylan and leaned over his sister, "Abby, don't forget to ask." He whispered to her, then he went to Dylan, who opened her eyes to see him.

"Hey." She smiled. He gave her one back.

"Hi." He leaned forward and kissed her forehead. She giggled, the feeling of his lips on her 'skin' making her giddy. He got up in look for Vanessa, his smile still on his lips. He wasn't sure how deep he was, but he was deep enough to know that he was falling more and more for her everyday.

awe, they are so cute, and yas! Finally they kissed! Also, not a slow burn obviously, I just love how soft they are together T-T
