Chapter 1

About a year ago
"Y/n will you move in with me please you're great with Abby and she loves you more than me...which is kinda sad.. BUT ANYWAY please I can't be alone anymore" Mike said looking in my eyes grabbing my hands. "Mike I would love to move in with you" I said touching his cheek And he pulls me into a tight hug.

Time skip present

"ABBY BREAKFAST" I yell walking in to mine and mikes room.

Flashback

"Um I didn't think this through" mike said running his hands in his hair.
"Oh no it's alright we can share it's not a big deal" I said smiling grabbing his hand and running to the bed. Mike stares at the Nebraska poster and I just look at him.
"Is there something on my face" he asks while turning his head to look at me.
"No, there's nothing on your face" I said turning my head to look at the poster.
"You're not lying to me are you" he said sitting up
"no can I not just look at you" I asked also sitting up
"No you can't Y/n that's weird" he said smiling me doing the same. He grabs my chin and starts to lean in. I can feel his breath in the face and I don't back away I close my eyes also starting to lean in when we hear. "Are you guys finally dating" Abby asks

Present

"Mike wake up or we are going to be late CHOP CHOP" I yell clapping my hands taking the blanket off of him. I walk to Abby's room opening the door. "Abby time to get up and eat come on" I said to her walking to her little fort. "N/n I'm not hungry"she says looking me in the eye then back down to what she was doing. "Abby please eat something just something small at least" I beg the poor girl. I love Abby with all my heart my little sister Olivia died in an accident and my parents couldn't live without her so they soon committed suicide so I had to go into foster care and soon got adopted by my mom Bridget and dad Ryan. "I also got your outfit in you chair get dressed and maybe JUST maybe I can take you to school in my car" I said smiling at her "really" she asked looking at me "really if you get up and get dressed" she jumped up and ran to the kitchen to grab food then back to her room to change.

Time skip
"Bye mike see you after my shift be safe love you" I said turning to close the door before I shut the door I heard an "okay love you too bye Abby love you"
We get into my car and I put my cop hat on Abby. She smiles. "Someday I'm going to be a cop" she says looking to the back seat. "Well that's good do you like helping people" I asked looking at her and the road. "Yeah of course I do my friend also likes helping people" she says looking into the back seat once more" I look in the rear view mirror making sure I don't have another kid in the back. 1 thing about Abby is she has pretend friends and it brakes my heart to see her like this but that's something I can't help.

I drop Abby off at school and walk into work looking for Vanessa my partner. "Hey pretty lady" I heard someone say behind me. "Hey you ready" I asked grabbing my hat and keys. "Yeah let's go" she said linking arms walking to our cop car.

Time skip
I throw the keys on the table and take off my vest. "Hey max" I said looking at Abby's babysitter. "Hey n/n there's leftovers in the fridge" she said looking back at the tv screen. "Did Abby eat" I asked "what do you think" she said walking to the table to talk to me more. Max and I are friends I sometimes take her out to have a girls day. We tried once bringing mike and Abby to the mall and Mike was just not having it so we made him carry our bags. "Um if you go into my vest I should have a $10 in there for you" I said looking at her then what I was doing. "Oh no I don't want any money Abby is like a little sister to me and I love spending time with you guys" she said walking back over to the screen. I hear the door open and shut. Mikes home. "Hey max HEY Y/N" Mike yells for me to hear. "HEY MIKE" I said getting enough food for Mike, Abby and myself. " did abby eat" I hear him ask and getting the same answer I got. I hear "at least I'm real" and a door shut. "What was that all about" I asked as mike walks over rapping his arms around my waist resting his head on my shoulder. "Oh nothing abby just doesn't want to eat oh and I got fired" he said letting go and walking to the table me doing the same but with food in my hand for me and Mike. "What happened" I asked looking at him. "Long story short I thought this kid was being kidnapped but turns out it was his dad, but I got an offer to do a night guard job for some pizza restaurant" he said throwing a card on the table for me to look at. "Are you going to except" I asked looking at him. "I don't know yet you know how I am" he said looking me in the eyes with sadness. "Mike i think you should try it out I'm not going to force you but its easy money" I said smiling at him and giving him the card back. "Yeah then I think I will, I'll call tomorrow" he said eating me doing the same.

Time skip

"Abby time for bed" I said walking into her room with a snack. "I'm not hungry" looking at the food then me. " do you know that happens to kid when they don't eat" I asked she shock her head "they stay that size forever and then never will be able to ride the big rides at an amusement park like me and your brother Mike" said looking at her then start to smile. "My friend said you're and idiot" she said looking behind her then back at me. "Hey young lady we don't say that and tell your friend that's not nice" said point my finger at her then behind her "he said he's sorry" she said "it's alright anyway good night love you" I said shutting her light off walking out of her room. I walk into mine and mikes room to see him putting on his nature sounds. I don't mind it all that much because I'm a heavy sleeper but some night it can get annoying but it's alright he needs sleep too. "Hey" I said walking in. "Hey" he said starting to change into Pajamas me doing the same (they don't look at each other she has the closet and he has a dresser) "good night mike I love you" I said kissing his cheek. "I think you missed" he said pulling me back and kissing me. WAIT HE JUST KISSED ME. "I-I'm sorry I shouldn't of- o cut him off by kissing him again. "It's okay I liked it and I really really like you" I said looking at him. "I really really like you too" he said looking me in the eyes. "Y/n will you be my girlfriend" he asks. "Hmm let me think OF COURSE I WILL" I yell hugging him and he hug back while laughing. I turn to my Side and he pulls me closer to him. "I love you N/n" he said in my ear. "I love you too" and we fall sleep
