As I sit below the shady branches
I wait for the serenity it enhances
Slowly I bring myself to my knees
Praying for strength, to make it please
To hold onto sanity until he returns
To be able to be steady and firmListening for an answer to my prayer
God, let me know I will make it there
Holding on to hope with all I can
Trusting in him and his plan
This whole journey filled with pain
To important to lose, everything to gainMy heart filled with a painful burning
For while you are gone, it is yearning
For your sweet touch, a tender embrace
For all the smiles you bring to my face
My heart and soul, they call for yours
Our love one of myth, legend and loresPray to God for the strength to go on
To Mother Nature for a new dawn
Right now I seek serenity and grace
Now I sit in a field, my waiting place
Here I sit and listen to the breeze
For now I sit under the willow trees
