You sit in the Astronomy Tower, waiting.
You've been coming up here twice a week at midnight exactly for the same thing.
Something you'd wait for for hours just to catch a glimpse.
"Sorry I'm late."
You stand and smile, locking eyes with Pansy Parkinson.
"It's okay." Without waiting any time, she strides over to you and takes your face in her hands and kisses you. You fall into the kiss, gripping her tight.
After a few moments of just admiring each other, you sigh.
"I hate not being able to do this in public," you mumble.
"I know," she replies, caressing your cheek, "but it's safer this way."
"I know."
Pansy kisses you softly, trying to distract you from your own mind. You let her, unable to think of a better distraction. A crisp, autumn breeze brushes over your skin, and you shiver. You and Pansy giggle, and you move to the edge, looking up at the stars.
"Hey, look, it's Draco," Pansy says, snorting.
"Do you ever make fun of him for it?"
"Oh, all the time. I tell him it's horribly narcissistic of him to name a constellation after himself."
"I bet he loves that."
"He thinks its old, but it always gets a reaction out of him, and as long as it does that, I'll keep bringing it up." You laugh, intertwining your fingers with hers. She rubs her thumb over the back of your hand.
Something odd settles in your chest, and you're not quite sure what to think of it. A content yet giddy feeling engulfs you, and you look over at Pansy, admiring how beautiful she is in the moonlight.
You won't tell her, but this is a view you could get used to.

The Yule Ball is one of the only things keeping you sane from upcoming exams. Though you don't have a date yet, it's still a welcome relief to be worrying about something other than your inevitable failure.
"(Y/N), are you listening?" your friend, Ron, asks. You shake yourself out of your thoughts.
"Uh, no, sorry. What did you say?" Ron rolls his eyes.
"I said, do you have a date to the ball yet?"
"Nope. You?"
"Nope. Tried to ask Hermione, but she got pissy."
"Well, I wouldn't wanna go with you either, after what you said," you reply, raising an eyebrow. Ron turns red, frowning.
"I wasn't thinking."
"Clearly."
Ron huffs and goes back to the book he's totally reading. He drums his fingers on the table, and you nudge him. He ignores you, but you nudge him harder, causing him to nearly fall out of hs chair.
"(Y/N)!" he snaps. You smile innocently.
"Cheer up. Just because you botched your chance with Hermione doesn't mean you'll show up dateless."
Not that he had a chance with Hermione since Krum asked her way before Ron even realized he wanted to go with her, but you digress.
"How do you know?"
