Madi's P.O.V.

I wake up with Jc's head on my stomach.

I quickly realize I'm naked and freak out, but then it all comes back to me.

I look at the clock on my bedside table and realize it's 20 minutes until school starts.

Did we sleep through Sunday?

Shit.

"JC!"

I scream stumbling out of bed.

He shoots up and sees me naked.

He smirks.

"Hey my eyes are up here."

I say pointing up.

He looks up.

"Yeah?"

He asks with a cheeky smile.

"SCHOOL. 20 MINUTES."

I say loudly running to my closet.

"shit."

He mumbles.

"ooooo did Caylen just cuss?"

I ask cheekily.

"Shut up."

He says laughing.

We get ready and decide to walk to school, with only 10 minutes to get there.

[ oh what a coincidence ]

Jc and I walk up to the school and see where jakes 'gang' is, except him obviously.

One walks up to me and raises his hand.

Jc holds his arm in front of me.

"What do you want?"

Jc asks sternly.

"Where's Jake?"

He asks sternly.

"Jail."

I say bluntly.

Jc's P.O.V.

The guy slapped Madi across the face.

I kneel down.

"Are you okay?"

I ask quickly.

"Yeah, don't start a fight. It isn't worth it."

She coughs out.

I stand back up and look him straight in the eyes.

"Why did you hit my girlfriend?"

I ask calmly.

"Do you want me to beat your ass, nerd?"

He says grabbing my glasses off my face and throwing them.

I chuckle.

"What's so funny?"

He asks with a smirk.

"That you really thought, after all of these years of all of you bullying me, that I wouldn't fight back."

I say.

Before he could say anything I lunge at him and punch him repeatedly, until he isn't moving.

I got back up and went over to pick up madi.

"I-I'm fine Jc."

She says with her head down.

"No you aren-"

I started to say while lifting her chin up.

"Oh-my"

I say.

I help her up and look at her again.

"Why'd you beat him up?"

She asks with a frown.

"Let's just say he deserved it."

I say smiling.

She links our hands as we walking into school.

• last period •

The last period for me is science, and I'm the only one passing in my class.

We had an exam today to I decided to sit in front.

One of the guys from jakes gang walks over to my desk.

"Either you give me the answers, or I tell the police, you beat up my friend."

He says bluntly.

"And then I'll tell the police, that your friend slapped my girlfriend, and you threatened me."

I say grinning.

He raises his hand up to slap me.

"No slapping or hair pulling you pussy."

I say, surprised at how I came back like that.

He grunts.

"You are gonna get it nerd."

He says walking away.
