Later, after she was done packing her things, Sophia found herself growing increasingly restless and bored.

The unfamiliar surroundings of Sebastian's grand mansion had her curiosity piqued, and she decided to explore her new 'home' apparently.
She glanced at the antique watch on her wrist, it was 10 PM, and a nagging thought crossed her mind – Sebastian wasn't back yet.

Earlier, Eve mentioned something about him frequently working late, because she came back later to offer her dinner.

But tonight, Sophia wasn't in the mood for food; there were far more intriguing aspects of her new life to discover, and she still had a lot to learn.

With this thought in mind, she aimlessly roamed through the mansion, taking in the opulence and grandeur of the rooms. The architecture and decor left her in awe.

Finally, she reached a massive door on the top floor, unmistakably the largest room in the house. She couldn't help but wonder if this was Sebastian's room. Her curiosity got the best of her, and she decided to give it a little peek. To her surprise, the door was unlocked.

Sophia's heart raced with excitement as she pushed the door open, eager to explore what lay beyond. However, her adventure was short-lived as a deep, seductive voice interrupted her.

"Breaking the rules already..." the voice sent a shiver down her spine.

"Ummmh...I... oh Sebastian... you are back... I was just...." Sophia stammered, trying to regain her composure.

She couldn't help but notice that Sebastian was standing there, his attire suggesting that he had just returned from a long day at work. He looked handsome and authoritative, and it sent a wave of attraction coursing through her.

"Yess...you were just sneaking into my room without my permission?" Sebastian teased, his voice dripping with a mix of amusement and desire.

"No.. I was just...." Sophia began, but she faltered when he raised an eyebrow and took a step closer, closing the distance between them.

"Fine... I was just checking if you were home?" she lied, her voice trembling slightly.

Sebastian's lips curved into a sly smile as he stepped even closer. "Already eager to see me, Miss Knight?"

The use of the title caught Sophia off guard. "Did you just call me Miss Knight?"

Sebastian's gaze intensified. "That's how people will be addressing you when we make our relationship public."

"But why can't they address me as Sophia? I don't need to use your name," she protested.

Sebastian leaned in, his voice silky and persuasive.

"Do you know how funny you sound? You're going to be Sebastian Knight's girlfriend... and fiancée in the future. My name carries power and strength, and whoever bears it will be an icon. Maybe you should have read the contract in the first place. This is what you signed up for, baby girl."

The air around them crackled with tension as he continued, his tone now flirtatious.

"Power and dignity," he purred, his eyes locking onto her lips, tempting her in a way that made her heart race even faster.

He moved closer, and Sophia's breathing became shallow. Her voice barely a whisper, she stuttered, "Whaaat. ...are... Seb..."

Sebastian's lips were dangerously close to hers.
"I don't take advantage of girls," he whispered. "Now, if you would excuse me, I want to go freshen up. Or maybe you want to join me, Miss Knight."

With that, he opened the door, leaving Sophia standing there, flushed and flustered, a whirlwind of emotions washing over her. What just happened...

"Are you sure you're not gonna come in?" he teased, and then he disappeared into his room.

Sophia was left feeling a mix of embarrassment.

Screw him!!

Sophia also went to freshen up, the warm water cascading over her body, soothing away the long day's fatigue. The steam from the shower enveloped her, creating a sense of sanctuary, a brief respite from the mysterious world she had entered.

She later went downstairs for dinner.
She looked around the opulent room, noticing the fine china, the flickering candlelight, and the sumptuous spread laid out before her. Yet, to her surprise, she was the only one having dinner, the room devoid of any other guests.

"Ummmh... Eve, can I ask you something?" Sophia inquired with a hint of curiosity.

"Sure, ma'am... anything that I can answer," Eve replied, her voice as composed as ever.

"Please call me Sophia, please... I promise I won't tell your boss."

Eve hesitated, seemingly torn between loyalty and desire to please. "But, ma'am, I..."

"Please," Sophia pleaded, her eyes filled with a gentle yet determined gaze.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but I can't... you have to get used to it," Eve finally admitted.

Sophia sighed and finally gave in. "Okay, so I wanted to ask... isn't Sebastian coming for dinner?"

Eve's response was unwavering. "Mr. Knight doesn't usually have dinner, and sometimes he prefers dinner in his room."

"Why is that?" Sophia inquired, her curiosity piqued.

"I don't know, maybe he has his reasons," Eve said with a hint of uncertainty. "Any other question, ma'am... I gotta get to work."

Sophia shook her head. "No... I'm fine... thank you. I guess I'm not in the mood for eating after all," she said as she stood up, the anticipation of meeting Sebastian Knight compelling her to make her way to his room.

Sophia contemplated whether to knock at Sebastian's room or not. She paced back and forth, her heart racing in her chest, a mix of fear and desire swirling within her.

But, with a deep breath, she finally gathered her courage and knocked on the door.

"Eve," Sebastian's deep, alluring voice resounded through the door.

"Ummmh... it's me... Sophia," she managed to say. He didn't reply, and for a moment, she thought he might not want to see her.

Fine... he doesn't want to see me, she thought, a pang of disappointment creeping over her.

Just as she turned to leave, the door flung open, revealing a sight that took her breath away. Sebastian Knight, the man who had been both aloof and flirtatious, stood before her, shirtless, and wearing short pants. His chiseled chest and defined muscles glistened in the dim light of the room.

"Miss toxic nature... how can I be at your service? Not settling fine?" he asked, his voice dripping with seduction, leaning nonchalantly on the doorframe.

Sophia's eyes widened at the unexpected sight.

"Ummh... no, I'm good, I'm good... I was just wondering why you don't like having dinner? And why you told Eve to call me 'ma'am'? Did you threaten her?"

Sebastian smirked, his playful demeanor shifting to a more serious tone. "Is that all you came here for? I appreciate it if we keep our relationship professional inside the house, and maybe in public, we can act as a couple. And if that's all... would you gladly excuse me... I have work to do."

With that, he shut the door in her face, leaving her bewildered and yearning for more.

Wait... what? That was rude.

One moment he seemed to flirt with her, and the next, he was a total jerk.

She wondered what made him act like that. As she made her way back to her room, her mind raced with a million questions.

The rest of the evening was spent in a state of confusion and anticipation, and eventually, she surrendered to a long, restless sleep.
