Blair.

"I just can't get over how much of a gentleman he is, paid for my meal and everything! What did you think of him when I introduced you; he was very polite wasn't he? Blair I really think he's worth my time, don't you?" Emma had been talking non-stop about her 'date' with Ashton, as if I didn't know every detail about it off by heart already. I continued to brush my teeth so I could avoid replying to her.

"We're going to see a movie next Saturday in town, you should come, Ashton said he's going to bring he's cousin. And if he even slightly resembles Ashton he'll be decent looking. Please come Blair, apparently Sam really wants to meet you!" If I knew that Emma would fall for Ashton this fast I would have locked her in our room on Saturday. It's bad enough that she was oblivious to the fact that Sam and I had already run into each other (literally), but now Sam wants to 'meet me'. This situation was getting out of hand, really fast.

"Oh I'm sure he does. Listen, Emma. Sam and I have already met, he spilt coffee all down my cream cashmere top. He's arrogant and irritating. The only way you'll get me to come is if you stop talking about your date for a whole day, which you won't because you haven't for four. Whole. Days." I said with a mouth full of toothpaste.

"I'm sure he was just flirting with you B! But you've got yourself a deal." Oh this should be good. She won't last two hours, or she'll probably forget over night. I jumped into bed and grabbed my English monologue script to memorise.

"And I'm just telling you all the details of date so you know how amazing it was." Emma said matter-of-factly as she put her headphones in and rolled over to face away from me in her bed.

"Trust me, I know." I muttered to myself.

Flashback.

"If we get any closer, we most as well just sit on their laps and ask them so hand feed up some of their garlic bread." Sam and I were hiding in the park, watching Emma and Ashton have lunch at an expensive restaurant in town. I had to admit, he had good taste. Italian cuisine was Emma's favourite.

"I'm trying to find out what they're saying." Sam shushed me. I don't know why he was so insistent on knowing what they were talking about, but I was cold and sick of sitting on this sticky park seat.

"Sam, as if you can hear them from here. This is ridiculous. I'm going inside somewhere to get warm." I started walking off hoping that Sam wouldn't follow me, but at the same time hoping he'd run after me. I heard the crunch of snow coming up behind me. I stopped walking and looked at Sam.

"Why do we need to stalk them on their first date anyway? I'm sure they'd appreciate some privacy. In fact so would I, I'm going back to school." I crossed my arms to emphasise how unimpressed I was at this situation.

"I want to see if my dear cousin has the balls to share everything about himself with Emma." I stared at him and processed what he said.

"And will this 'everything' hurt Emma at all? Because I will not stand for that ok." Sam laughed as though I'd said something stupid. God he looked amazing when he laughed. Snap out of it Blair, I mentally slapped myself.

"Ashton would never hurt Emma, stress less lady." And he's back to he's normal self.

"Ok, well I'm leaving so I hope you get caught and I hope they get angry at you." I smiled sarcastically at him. I turned to continue walking when Sam stepped in front of me, a little too close for me to concentrate.

"You can't leave."

"Oh and why is that? Listen here you rude, coffee-spilling, stalker-"

"Because they're about to get on the Ferris wheel and so are we." Sam cut me off.

He unexpectedly grabbed my frozen hand in his and started jogging towards the Ferris wheel. His hand was bizarrely warm and large enough to fully embrace mine. I was too stunned to slap him in the face for touching me and too out of breath to yell at him to stop jogging. He helped me into an empty carriage and but wouldn't let go of my hand.

Sam turned to face me, staring at me with those beautiful black eyes of his. I became aware of how close we sitting together, making my heart rate increase. Sure I'd been close to boys before but this boy made me feel out of control of my own body and feelings. Sam leaned closer and I could smell the peppermint gum on his breath that he had been chewing earlier.

"Sam-" I started, but was cut off by his lips.
