Collided Love

25. Katherine's pov 💚

It was nighttime when I finally came to my senses. I felt sparks all around me, something was weighing on me, and I knew both my mates were clinging on me, but I didn't open my eyes. For the most part I knew they were asleep, but that wasn't the point, for some odd reason I didn't want to get up.

Then it came back to me, the last thing I was doing before it all went black, and the dream, I can't remember what it was about, but I felt the off déjà vu from it, and the cave with the conversation pit. Geez what else happened.

I can't sit up, they'll wake up. But I also don't want to lay here. I need to find out what's happening, 'where's that old hag when you need her?!.' The last time I had this feeling she popped up that night, spelling off nonsense.

Whatever, with that last thought I allowed the darkness to take over. I need to know what happened in my dream.

The next morning I woke up to an alarm. When I opened my eyes I sat up looking for the source. That was when I made eye contact with gold glowing eyes, holding the source of the noise. When I finally felt the lack of presence of my mates they walked out of the closet and the bathroom respectfully.

They both ran up to me when they saw I was awake, Ruby used her vampire speed which gave her an advantage, but Allison was just as fast.

I fell back from the impact but nonetheless instinctively hugged them in return. They grabbed as much of any part of me as they could. And I allowed them to do what they wish. When I looked back into the gold eyes of my mates friend, I saw her roll them and she walked out of the room and muttered to her friends that she'll wait for them downstairs.

When they responded with an okay, they sat up and that was when I saw them in uniforms, they're going to school. I subconsciously tilted my head to the side, slightly confused, their giggling brought me out of my train if thoughts before I could fully process that information.

"You really scared us Katherine", I saw the sad look they have replaying the happy one they had a minute ago when they were giggling. Frowning I thought about what they were talking bout, the last thing I remember was checking out the warehouse, then I was returning to the packhouse because nothing was out of the ordinary or appealed to me in any way either, and then everything went black, then I woke up here.

"What are talking about?, what exactly happened yesterday?" They gave me a look before glancing back at each other than back at me. Then they spent the next minute explaining to me what happened at the warehouse, and how they couldn't find me anywhere, they sent scouts out to look for me, with their werewolf abilities it should have been easy, but it took them awhile until my mates found me tucked under a tree. To them it looked like I was just taking a nap in the woods but they knew better. There wasn't any other scents there either so they brought me back, and that was it.

I was pondering on this information for awhile, all my mates could do was look at me worriedly until I assured them that I was okay, and convince them to head off to school. I need to do some work anyway.

They have me one more worried look before kissing my cheek and heading out the door reluctantly. When they were finally gone, I got out of bed and brushed through my morning workout, then took a shower and sat on our made up bed and did my work.

The Alpha and Luna came to check on me and brought me breakfast, I tried to respectfully decline, because I was in fact in no mood to eat, but I accepted it after their caring insistence. I finished the sandwich and coffee knowing the Luna had studied my breakfast choices the last few days that I've been staying here, which reminds me, I need to return to the office at some point. Lucifer knows what happened with the twins while I was away.

This is one of the many reasons I had disliked the supernatural race they had a way with interfering in my work. Don't get me wrong I still have those thoughts, but it is completely different for my mates, they are an exception.

Letting out a tired sigh I got back to work, and calling up my family and friends to inquire about the things I was not aware of. When they inquired about Ara, I told them she was enjoying her much needed vacation and would prefer to not be disturbed. That she'll contact me when she wants to.

Which left me wondering how my best friend was doing. She can annoy me as much as she wants, but she's still like a sister to me. And I will spill blood if she isn't in good health the next time I see her. Also I hope she gets that werewolf transformation thing under control, I doubt she'd be allowed to visit her favourite shops if she doesn't, and I sure as hell ain't doing it.

Well back to work I guess. 'Wait did I just think that? Lucifer?'
