Clem's Pov:

I march angrily down the stairs until I run into Axel and Zander. "Whoa, what happened to you?" Axel asks with a hint of amusement in his voice.

But Zander slaps his arm. "Dude, don't be rude."

I let out a sigh and lifted my hat so I could run my fingers through my hair. "It's fine." And I put my hat back on. I like the twins and I don't want to upset them by telling them that their Alpha is an asshole. "Can you tell me where my friends are? I need to talk with them."

"Sure thing," Zander tells me. "Follow us."

They lead me outside and we walk through a part of town that has houses on both sides. I get some weird looks from some of the people in town but some of them actually wave at me and smile. I feel very uncomfortable, not knowing what to make of this community just yet.

It's not long before we stop in front of a large house where I can see Louis and Ruby arguing on the front porch. They stop once they catch sight of me.

I quickly turn to the Beta and Gamma of the pack. "Thanks for your help, but I can take it from here."

"No problem, Clem. Just holler if you need anything." Zander tells me.

I nod and run up to the porch to join my group and I can tell by Louis's expression that he's about to go off on me but I don't give him the time of day as I walk past him. "Where's Violet?" I ask Ruby as I walk up the steps and push the door open. She doesn't have time to answer me as my eyes land on the blonde-haired girl that I've been looking for. She's leaned up against the wall with her arms folded listening to Mitch and Aasim talk about our current situation. Brody, Tenn, and Willy are seated on the couch listening in on the conversation while AJ is seated on the floor next to them. Omar is off to the side standing in the doorway of what looks like a kitchen.

Violet's eyes lock with mine and it's not a second later before I feel the mate bond spark between us as she hugs me.

Violet buries her face in my neck and inhales my scent. "God, you scared me. Don't ever do that again." She tells me.

I can't help but smile at just being near her once more. "Hey, it's okay. I'm here now. I'm here."

We stay interlocked in each other's embrace for a minute longer, both of us not wanting to let go. But I recall what Alpha Titus had told me and remember that I had news to share. My smile turns into a frown and I reluctantly pull away. Violet is quick to catch it though. "What's wrong?"

"I've got some information that everyone's going to want to hear," I tell her.

Mitch and Aasim hear this and turn my way as well as Omar. Ruby and Louis also come in from outside and everyone gathers around. All eyes are on me but as I stare around the group I notice that two werewolves are missing. "Wait, where's Sophie and James?"

"Where we just came from," Louis says crossing his arms. I can hear the tone of his voice and he does not sound happy.

"And where is that?" I ask not actually knowing where they had been. I know that they were in a holding cell but I have no idea where that was or what the circumstances were.

Louis scoffs as if it's obvious. "Where do you think, asshole? They put us in cells. And where were you? Getting all acquainted with Mister High and mighty?!"

I'm not sure why Louis is always trying to pick a fight with me. It's like he blames me for everything bad that's happened. Like I wanted to be here or something! If he remembers correctly it was Minerva who helped the raiders capture us, not me.

I grumble under my breath. I want to growl at him but picking a fight right now is not going to help our current situation. Luckily, Violet tells him off for me. "Fuck off, Louis. It's not Clem's fault."
