All eyes were on Violet. She casually flipped her collar back up trying to shrug it off. "Don't worry about it."

But Louis wasn't about to let it go. "Violet, that better not be what I think it is!"

Violet remembered that Louis said he had done research on werewolves but she didn't know if he knew about the Alpha's mark. Either way, she didn't care. Clem had made her, her mate, and Violet wasn't going to take crap from anyone. "So what if it is?!" She shot back at Louis.

"Goddammit, Violet! We don't have time for this bullshit right now!" Louis shouted.

Aasim the peacekeeper tried to bring the argument down. "Whoa, Louis what are you talking about? What's wrong?"

Louis began to pace. "That's an Alpha mark. Violet's been turned into one of those things!"

Clem was taken aback by his remark. One of those things? "Excuse me?! What do you mean one of those things?"

Louis turned to her and so did his anger. "You! Did you do this?!" He walked up to Violet and tugged her collar down, exposing her mark.

Clem gritted her teeth at Louis's brash movement and felt a growl in the back of her throat.

Violet tried to get him off of Clem's back. "It's fine, Louis. Just drop it."

"No, Vi! We're going to talk about this, now! Did you do this to her?" Louis questioned.

Clem folded her arms. "So what if I did?"

"The fuck, Clem?!" Louis shouted.

Violet tried once again to keep the peace. "Louis leave Clem alone!" She tugged on his jacket trying to pull him away from the girl she'd been crushing on.

Louis smacked her hand away then gave her a shove. "Fuck you, Vi!"

Violet hadn't been ready for the shove and she fell backward. Clementine felt her blood boil and a strict growl escaped her throat. She stepped between Violet and Louis. "Don't. Touch. My. Mate."

Louis scoffed. "Or what? You gonna bite me next?! Maybe slit my throat like that kid did to Marlon!?"

Clem gave a warning growl. "Leave Violet out of this." She said sternly.

"No. Violet got us into this mess! Now she's going to fix this!"

Clem pointed at the ground. "The hell she is! That's my mate Louis! She has my mark and I'll be damned if anything happens to her! You want Violet?! You're gonna have to go through me!"

Clementine's breathing had accelerated to a fast pace and her eyes had turned black. She was furious with Louis.

That's when Ruby burst through the door with Brody hobbling behind her. "The hell has gotten into you two?! I can hear y'all's bickering from all the way inside!"

"Stay out of it, Ruby!" Louis put a hand up to shush her. "Just because you guys are mates doesn't mean you control her! You don't own her Clem!" Louis spat. "And what happens when she turns?! She'll go mad just like Marlon!"

"She won't," Clem said through gritted teeth.

"She will." Louis got in Clementine's face. "And when she losses control, I'll make sure your the one who has to put her down!"

Clem couldn't take it anymore as her wolf took over. Her bones cracked as she began to shift. It didn't take long as her rage fueled her shift and a huge wolf towered above Louis.

Louis fell back onto the ground in fear as he tried to back up. His cocky demeanor gone as he stared at the creature. The massive wolf's eyes were black and her hackles were raised.
