Wow!
I definitely wasn't expecting to finish this book! A huge thank you to every single one of you for all your support and comments!! Some of your comments had me doubled over in laughter, you all are incredible 😭❤️
I swear I couldn't have finished this book without you. I get so sick and tired of reading my own writing that this probably would have ended up in the trash like all my other attempts, so seriously, thank you! You've made this journey so much more enjoyable!! 💝
This is the first fanfic I've ever finished! It's like my baby, and it means the world to me that you guys think my baby is pretty cool too <3
I started writing this book for all the Wriothesley fans out there craving an x reader. I planned to feed you all with some small, random content and then vanish into thin air, like a magician after his final trick. (Not that the existing books weren't good, but there were only about 3, and they all had < 3 chapters.)
It was so sad. I've been in their shoes before, where you're desperately searching for a character fic but they're so rare that you can hardly find anything beyond boyfriend scenarios and one-shots. So I thought to myself, why not write something short while we wait for the big guns to fire?
It was interesting to say the least.
I didn't like Wriothesley. Like, at all. 😭
I don't know, he just wasn't particularly attractive to me. I found him somewhat plain and thought I'd write a story where I'd inject a bit of humor at his expense.
Subtly, of course.
(I know one of you noticed in the earlier comments lol! I guess I wasn't as discreet as I thought I was.)
But then his stupid face started popping up on my feed more often than ads for that one product you looked up once. And suddenly, I found myself in a conundrum.
I mean, he's not that bad, right? He's got that... thing. You know, that thing that makes you tilt your head and squint your eyes as if that would help make sense of the situation.
And that's when it hit me.
I mean, come on! Wriothesley? The guy who I thought was as exciting as watching paint dry? No way, not me. I was in denial, it was so bad.
But then, the more I wrote about him, the more he started to grow on me. It was like that one song you hate when you first hear it, but then it's on every radio station, every playlist, and before you know it, you're humming along. Kinda weird, but hey I'm not complaining.
Anyway, here's to all of you, my dear readers, thank you for sticking with me through this mess. Thank you for your kind words, your constructive criticism, and your unwavering support. You've made this experience so much more meaningful and rewarding.
Seriously, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so so so much!!!💖
Well, here we are now, at the end of this journey together. But don't worry, this isn't a goodbye. It's just a see you later. Because who knows? Maybe Wriothesley and Y/n will have more stories to tell in the future.
Once again, thank you for being part of this journey with me. Your support means more than words can express!!
Until next time,
sugarsugarpie 💕
