It wasn't too late to call a tow for your car, but you also needed a ride back to town to get to your car. Expensive, but you got a ride. On the way back to town, you felt the corner of your eyes sting as you fought back tears.
Whatever.
You arrived to town, wiped your tears and lit a cigarette. Once you burned your cigarette, you went to the garage, paid the financial blow that was the damage and realized you hadn't eaten. You go to a diner where you get late lunch to burn the hours that you needed for your car to get fixed and then, finally, you head home. You had to work tomorrow anyway.

In the woods, a parked car that holds the A-Team. Facundo and Hilde in the front; Karl, Sindy, and Alexei in the back."Think they broke up?" Hilde says as she watches Y/N walking back to his house through binoculars. She hands them over to Facundo.
"He's alone, so, I guess so." Facundo says as he sees the same thing Hilde did.
"It's the Black Kaiser. I was surprised he'd even be able to date anybody." Sindy says as she inspects her nails, laughing at the thought of a retired assassin in a normal relationship instead of drowning in models and coke.
"I know right?" Alexei laughs as he polishes his gun.
"Can we focus on the plan? Our target is the Black Kaiser. We got one more week and we need to strike at night." Karl says, causing everyone to roll their eyes.
"Wouldn't anytime work?" Sindy says with a huff as she leans forward, a frustrated expression on her face as she rests her chin in her hands.
"Yeah, but-" Karl tries to explain.
"Then we can go whenever." Alexei says, matching Sindy's frustration.
"Alright!" Hilde says, getting annoyed.
"Update the file Facundo," she orders.
——————————————————————————I slumped on the couch, bottle of whiskey, not bothering to get a whiskey glass. It was a nicety, so I didn't want it. I guess I fell asleep because I woke up in a cold sweat.
I can't leave him.
This was a mistake...

You heard a knock at your door, too early to be any reasonable person. When you opened the door, you confirmed what you had thought. You stood there as you waited for the person at your door to speak. You stood there looking at each other. The silence was too long, so, you went to close the door.
"Y/N, listen." Duncan spoke but stopped.
"I am, Duncan. I have work in a couple of hours so I'd like to make some breakfast while I still can, maybe watch some TV while I'm at it." I shrugged him off by thinking out loud, at least, shrugging him off the best I could.
"I wanted to see if you wanted to come over for dinner, since you didn't finish your lunch yesterday." This was the first time you sensed a hint of awkwardness in his voice, as if he was nervous.
"Well, you pretty much dumped me." You paused for a second as you switched your playful tone to a slightly more serious one. "What changed your mind?" Even though you were hurt, you were happy to see him back, as pathetic as that may sound.
