Between the gentle embrace of his luxurious sheets, Xie Lian was fast asleep, as the first light of dawn painted the world in soft pastels, The alarm clock beside the bed, on the nightstand of Xie's room played its cheerful melody. He blinked away the remnants of his nightmare that had long become his sleeping partner, feeling the warmth of his duvet linger on him like a fond embrace. The small beads of sweat glittered as the pale morning light reflected upon them.
He stretched out his limbs, a deep sigh escaping his lips. he wiped away the sweat off his forehead. Another day had dawned, bringing new hope that chased away the nightmares of night. It brought with it a sense of promise and great joy.
He sat still for a moment before reaching out for his phone on the nightstand. A smile crept through his face when his eyes landed on a particular profile, his fingers tapped on it lightly, zooming the profile picture of a young man, his hair combed neatly, done in a black and burgundy suit, eyes sharp, staring at the camera directly.
After admiring his youngest bodyguard his eyes went to the unread messages from him. He read it, 'Good morning, gege, I'll be before your door by 5.00, See ya soon', a small smile adorned his face. He got up from his comfy bed and let his feet touch the soft mattress, feeling the luxury of those materials.
After a second, he let his legs carry him to the large glass windows, he gently wrapped up his curtains and gazed out of the transparent material. The had dawned, and the gentle rays of the sun streamed in through the glasses. The rosy color of the rising sun threw a rosy glow across the early sky. It was neither bright nor dark. A foggy atmosphere and the air that smells fresh and clean with a sense of peace and tranquility made the environment perfect for a morning walk, run, and exercise. Smiling at the thought of going for a run on a nice morning after a long while Xie Lian made his way towards the bathroom.
Taking his time, Xie Lian stepped out of the bathroom with a plush towel wrapped around his waist revealing his sharp body outlines, his six packs well toned. The collarbone is sharp and defined. He made his way toward his large walk-through closet.
He emerged from the closet wearing a Nike Colorblock Drawstring Zipper Hoodie and sweatpants, a black Jordan, a Nike sweatband, and a branded sports watch. He was stunningly handsome in his outfit. He looked at the large clock that hung on his side wall and found the time. It was 4.45 a.m.
He went to his room and collected his iPods and mobile phone before descending back through the stairs. He smiled when he heard the doorbell ring. His eyes went to the clock and found that the time was 4.59 a.m.
So sharp!
Xie Lian went to the door and opened it just to get his breath taken away. The young man before him was also dressed in a Nike Colorblock zipper hoodie and sweatpants. The difference between their outfit was only the color. Xie Lian's was black, ash, and white and San Lang's was Black, burgundy, and charcoal grey. His hair was tied up into a ponytail a branded sports watch that snaked around his left wrist, a silver bracelet on his right hand and a burgundy Jordan safed his foot.
"Hi Gege! You are looking great!", San Lang said, smiling widely. Xie Lian snapped out of his trance and smiled back then said, "Thank you, San Lang, You also look handsome"
"Shall we head out,gege?", San Lang asked still beaming brightly. Xie Lian smiled in return and said, "Sure, San Lang"
They both headed out after Xie Lian closed his door, entering the lift, San Lang pressed the button that could bring them to the underground parking lot.
They exit the lift after about four minutes. Getting into Xie Lian's car, San Lang drove to their destination which was a lovely beachside.
The environment was calm and peaceful. The air was crisp and cool, and the sun had just begun to rise. The world was still quiet, and the only sound was the chirping of birds and the crawling waves of the sea. The sky was a beautiful shade of blue and pink, and the sun was a light orange color.
San Lang and Xie Lian started to jog slowly and silently. A fresh breeze blew in from the ocean, bringing with it the smell of saltwater and seawater. The silence between them was comfortable and warm.
By 6.30 a.m. both were done jogging, they had shared some small talks, light laughs, and bright smiles. Both were sweating lightly. Xie Lian couldn't help but take some sneaky peeks at a slightly sweating San Lang. He is so hot! What the fuck? What am I even thinking?
"Gege, you want some?", San Lang asked as he brought a water bottle near Xie Lian. "Thank you, San Lang", Xie Lian accepted the water bottle and gulped down some cold water.
"Gege, your uni starts at 8 o'clock, I think we should hurry back", The taller boy said as he checked his smartwatch. "I and Luca will be escorting you there", he continued.
"Ok, we should head back", Xie Lian looked at him. He is great at time management, Xie Lian Thought.
Like that, both men went back to the car and drove back to their condominium building. San Lang said that he and Luca will meet him at 7.30 a.m.
Xie Lian went back to his room and plopped himself on the sofa and smiled. He had gone to the beachside after so long. Maybe having him near wasn't that bad at all.
After a good ten minutes, Xie Lian went to take a cold shower. He stepped out of the bathroom with a silk robe warped around his body. He went to his closet and picked up his outfit for the day. His choice for today was a plain button-down white shirt and black denim that hugged his slender yet strong figure, his favorite signature Rolex, black Jordan, and a silver chain with a diamond ring pendant. His hair was neatly tied in a bun. It took almost half an hour to get ready.
Xie Lian exited his room and climbed downstair with his backpack over his right shoulder. He went to the kitchen and fetched his water bottle before having his breakfast, a cup of black coffee without sugar and some pancakes topped with honey and butter. Usually, Xie Lian doesn't have breakfast, a cup of coffee was all he had before and sometimes he would forget that too but today San Lang bought them breakfast when they came back from their morning exercise. So considerate.
Xie Lian was a fast eater so he finished his breakfast within five minutes and currently, he was sitting on his sofa in front of the TV, watching the news.
At 7.27 a.m. Xie Lian's calling bell rang. Knowing who it was, Xie Lian switched off the TV before he went towards the door. He opened the door and only to find a handsome young man staring at him.
