Chapter 27

Harry let out a howl that echoed through Malfoy Manor. Then the group in the dungeon heard the lock click and the door swung open. One of the death eaters appeared at the bottom of the stairs. He saw Harry and froze. He turned and hollered towards the door,

"Someone may want to come down here, somehow a wolf got in." Harry lunged at him and tore him to pieces then bounded up the stairs. He jumped out of the dungeon and growled at Bellatrix who had a knife on Hermione's arm. When Bellatrix heard the growl, she turned around to see a giant wolf glaring at her. She slowly stood up and began to back away. She wasn't fast enough for Harry. He lunged at her, and his teeth got her arm. Harry landed in between Bellatrix and Hermione. Hermione whimpered. Harry turned his head and nuzzled his nose on Hermione's face. Hermione stayed still not wanting to startle the wolf. Harry realized that Hermione didn't recognize him. He locked eyes with her, and she saw his green eyes. She mumbled,

"Harry?" before passing out from pain. Harry nudged her, but she didn't move. Harry turned around and began to growl at Bellatrix. Just then Dobby appeared. He took Hermione's hand and disapperated. He landed outside the Lovegood's house. Xenophilius ran out of the house, grabbed Hermione, and brought her inside. Luna saw Dobby and said,

"Are you going back for Harry?"

"Dobby is going to rescue Harry potter." Luna smiled and said,

"These clothes are for him. He will need them when he changes back to a human. He is a wolf right now." Dobby nodded and disapperated back to Malfoy Manor. Harry had Bellatrix back in a corner. Dobby went over to Harry and climbed on his back. He then disapperated the two of them to the Lovegood house. It took Harry a few moments to realize that he was no longer at Malfoy Manor. He began to look around and he saw Dobby lying on the ground with a dagger in his stomach. Harry took a deep breath and transformed back into a human. He realized that he was naked. He then noticed the clothes on the top of the steps. He ran over and put them on. He then ran over to Dobby. Harry picked up Dobby and held his head. Dobby opened his eyes and said,

"Harry Potter and friends are safe. Dobby broke promise to never save Harry Potter's life again." Harry began to tear up. He then said,

"Thank you for saving us Dobby. I will miss you." Dobby took one final breath and closed his eyes. Harry closed his eyes and let a few tears fall. He then heard footsteps behind him. He looked up to find Luna standing next to him with a handkerchief and a shovel.

"I am sorry that Dobby died. I figured you could use a friend and a shovel so Dobby can get a proper burial." Luna said with a smile. Harry laid Dobby down and stood up. He wiped his eyes and took the shovel from Luna.

"Thanks Luna." Harry dug a hole and buried Dobby. Harry walked back to the house and sat on the floor next to Hermione. Her arm was bandaged. Harry moved a piece of hair away from her face. He watched as she slept peacefully. She remained asleep until the next morning. Hermione opened her eyes and looked around. She then noticed that her arm was bandaged, and Harry was asleep with his head on the bed. She picked up her hand and gently began to rub Harry's head. He lifted his head and saw that Hermione was awake. He kissed her hand and she said,

"I remember running through the woods being chased then I don't remember anything after that. Why is my arm bandaged?" Harry sighed and said,

"We got captured by the Snatchers and taken to Malfoy Manor. I was locked in the basement. Bellatrix kept you upstairs. She tortured you using Crucio. She then used a knife to carve 'Mudblood' into your forearm. I wasn't alone in the dungeon. Luna, Mr. Ollivander, and Griphook had been kidnapped too. Dobby rescued us." Hermione sat up and said,
