Tanjiro was left astonished when his sword broke. He felt a quick pain on his cheek after it got slashed by Rui's web. Fortunately, Tanjiro managed to dodge to the left to avoid further cuts and tumbled across the ground, groaning in pain.
As he struggled to get up he looked at his sword with blurry vision. 'No way!' Tanjiro thought , 'My sword!' fully getting up now he stumbled and almost lost his footing.
Rui despised how Tanjiro looked at Y/N when she was around and noticed that he was also blushing whenever she was in his presence.
'My sword's been broken! I can't believe it!' Tanjiro exclaimed in disbelief. 'The threads this boy is wielding...Are they even tougher than the body of that demon I couldn't cut earlier?' Tanjiro wondered.
'Forgive me, Urokodaki and Hananezuka' he apologized 'Due to my inexperience, my sword is now broken' Tanjiro worried that he was going to disappoint the two but he remembered something.
"Tanjiro please...win and survive"
Right, he had to win and live for Y/N, his Y/N. Another web came slashing down at Tanjiro, breaking the ground, Yet like last time Tanjiro dodged again avoiding the web. 'No this isn't the time for that!' he scowled himself 'Think, think!' diving down avoiding another web he lounged forward.
'If I can't cut those threads, I'll get within reach!' Tanjiro continued to evade the webs and rolled catching his breath 'It's no good! Those threads have a life of their own, and I can't get through their attacks!' He was agitated that he might not be able to see her beautiful face again, his Y/N.
'he's even holding back not to kill me, but he's overpowering me all the same!' Tanjiro wheezed, out of breath, and tired.
"Well? Do you still refuse to take back what you said earlier?" Rui questioned waiting for Tanjiro's answer which he did not get "Fine, in that case, you'll get slashed to ribbons" Rui threatened, and with that webs formed at Tanjiro.
'Slash!'
both demon and human blood was shed. Nezuko's eyes widened at seeing her friend get hurt. Ruis eyes widened while Tanjiro was horrified that his sister and his beloved Y/n were hurt. "Y-Y/N!" Tanjiro called out "It's alright" Y/N looked at the two siblings ignoring the big and small cuts on her and looked at Nezuko "Are you alright Nezuko? I hope you didn't get hurt" Y/N asked petting Nezuko's head looking at her fondly.
Nezuko blushed but and still worried about her dear friend. she wanted to tell Y/N how much she missed her and that she was in less injuries than Y/N because she protected her.
Feeling weak Y/N stumbled a bit losing her footing, Tanjiro quickly carried her, then held Nezuko's hand and brought them away from Rui.
"Y/N! Nezuko! you guys protected me! Im sorry" Tanjiro continued to apologize to the two.
