However, my beloved Monokumas, despair is not dead yet! Because Monaca is still here!

A world filled with hope is boring.

I, the second Junko Enoshima, Monaca Towa, shall drive the Future Foundation and the whole world, completely, despairfully, into despair!

So, I can either run away from the world that's rejected me, or I can destroy it. One of the two, right? But I've already picked my answer.

It looks like she's about to start something again (Komaru Naegi).

I'm sure she hasn't given up (Nagisa Shingetsu).

Bye-bye girls! Monaca's bored of earth, so I'm gonna go to space and never leave my room!

Is she really going to space? (Komaru Naegi).

REBUILT HOPE'S PEAK-27/10/2014-Makoto Naegi

A bright blue sky. The scent of daisies in the air. It's hard to believe that this is real. After enduring years of catastrophes and world-ending events, we've managed to rebuild Hope's Peak as a symbol of our achievements. The world, little by little, is returning to its normal state. With that in mind, Future Foundation focuses on providing food and shelter to those in need, working in conjunction with the still unstable government to assist other countries in worse conditions than ours. The feuds between Japan and America during the 20th century seem to lay forgotten now that we have a shared objective.

Nevertheless, much has been lost along the way. Over the past three to four years, millions have perished, and most are still grappling with the aftermath of The Tragedy. Some of those affected include the culprits themselves, the Remnants of Despair. Even though we managed to save and rehabilitate them, they now live in exile, taking responsibility for their actions. Fortunately, I receive weekly reports from Hajime Hinata, keeping me updated on their progress. Some, like Kazuichi Soda, have proven to be particularly helpful. His true identity remains a secret, known only to us "survivors," but he's successfully recreated air purifiers akin to those found in the original Hope's Peak Academy and Towa City, helping to alleviate the unbearable pollution and red skies. Things are finally looking up.

And even so, a few loose ends continue to trouble me. Six months ago, during the Future Foundation's killing game, Komaru and Toko embarked on a mission to find Monaca Towa, who had been impersonating Miaya Gekkogahara. They were expecting a big and bombastic fight, like the ones Towa had them used to. After all, for almost two years, she had been controlling thousands of Monokuma units and brainwashed kids, wreaking havoc wherever she went. And while she lost power when we stopped the other Warriors of Hope, she kept planning and lurking in the shadows for a long time. That's what makes it surprising that when Toko and Komaru finally got to the "final boss", she just gave up. She told them that she was done with despair, right before leaving in a rocket to play video games in space.

I should be relieved that the situation in Towa City is over, but the whole thing makes me suspicious. Despite the apparent resolution, we found recordings in the destroyed Monokuma units from that day where Towa spoke of something bigger that was about to come. Even if all the Monokumas in Towa City have now been destroyed and the "Monokuma Kids" are free of their brainwashing, her voice in those videos keeps me restless. "So, I can either run away from the world that's rejected me or destroy it. One of the two, right? But I've already picked my answer."

And then there's the other pressing matter at hand. After the last killing game was over, we realized something. All the remaining "Hit List Targets" hunted by the Warriors of Hope, except for my sister, had vanished again. And who could be a better orchestrator of their disappearance than Monaca Towa, who first seized them? Their whereabouts remain a mystery, same as those of many others, like Takumi Hijirihara, the "Killer Killer," and his lover, Misaki Asano. They vanished long ago...
