The day had started off with a promise of sunshine and warmth, but as the hours wore on, dark clouds gathered overhead, casting their ominous shadows over the town. The wind picked up, rustling through the leaves of the trees and sending shivers down Haylee's spine. She had always been sensitive to the changes in the weather, able to feel the electricity in the air long before anyone else. It was this very sensitivity that had led her to avoid her two best friends, Pandora and Regulas, for the rest of the year. They paraed around, the perfect it couple, too much of everything she had tried to escape from. Instead, she found solace in the quiet company of her brother , who understood her in a way that no one else ever had.She stood on the edge of the cliff, the waves crashing against the jagged rocks below, the salt tang in the air making her nose sting. The wind whipped her hair into a frenzy, tugging at her clothes as if trying to pull her towards the ocean. She closed her eyes, feeling the power of the storm course through her veins. This was the kind of day that made her feel alive, made her feel like she belonged somewhere. As she turned around, she saw her brother and his friends huddled under a nearby tree, watching her with a mixture of curiosity and concern. They knew she wasn't one for rough weather, but they also knew that sometimes she needed to be alone with her thoughts. They didn't try to stop her from venturing out into the storm; instead, they offered her shelter when she was ready.Haylee walked towards them, her steps slow and deliberate as she fought against the wind. The rain started to fall harder, each drop stinging her skin like tiny needles. But she didn't mind the pain; it was a reminder that she was still alive, still feeling something. As she reached the tree, her brother, Jack, held out an arm to her, his face creased with worry. "Are you okay, Hay?" he asked, his voice raised above the howl of the wind. She nodded, taking a shaky breath. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just needed some time alone."Her brother studied her for a moment before nodding. "Alright, but remember, we're here for you whenever you need us." He turned to their friends. "Let's go. We don't want to keep the train waiting."As they walked back towards the castle, Haylee felt a sense of camaraderie wash over her. Despite the storm, they were all there, supporting each other through thick and thin. It was a bond that she had never experienced with Pandora and Regulus, and she couldn't help but wonder if they had ever felt the same way about her.Later that night, as they got ready to board the Hogwarts Express, Regulus approached Haylee with a nervous smile on his face. "Hey, Haylee," he said, clearing his throat awkwardly. "I wanted to apologize for earlier this year. I was a bit of a jerk, and I'm really sorry about that."Haylee raised an eyebrow at him, surprised by his honesty. "It's okay, Regulus. I guess we all have our moments." She paused, thinking back to the time she had spent avoiding them. "But I'm glad we're friends again."
