[ Pokemon the Series XYZ: The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life ]

Serena surprised by seeing her mom Grace at her showcase and Clement's house invite's her for dinner.

Serena: "Mom... could I stay with you at your hotel room?"

Serena's Mom: "Sure."

[ Hotel Room ]

Serena tries to go to sleep but turns to face her mother's back. Serena mom Graces questions her, "You know sleeping with me in a hotel room is not your style, what's wrong sweetie?"

Serena: "My journey is almost over but, my goal of becoming Kalos Queen isn't over. Yet everything I've learned from my journey I don't want it to stop. I have a future of thing I want to do yet I don't know where to begin."

Serena's Mom: "There is never a right or wrong choice in life. If you believe you want to explore then go explore, nothing should hold you back sweetie. I believe whatever decision you'll make will be the best choice, just think about it."

Serena: "Thanks Mom, that really helped."

Serena is able to go to sleep with the peace of mind of her decision. She realizes that everything Ash and her mom said was true. There will be people to support her no matter the decision. Any decision of hers is not a waste of time and if her heart leads to exploration of other regions than staying in Kalos, well then that's her own story.

[ Phone Calling Station ]

Palermo: "So we meet again, I've been waiting. Have you found an answer?"

Serena: "Yes, ma'am I sure have."

Palermo: "All right. What is it?"

Serena: "Forgive me ma'am! But- I can't go with you! Aria helped me, she really taught me that my smile could give other people strength. I experienced that for the first time. Even though they've been through so much, people smiled when they saw my performance. That's what made me decide. I want lots of people to see me perform! That's what I have to do to really grow!"

Palermo: "I see, I understand that your Pokémon are your friends and you decision is?"

Serena: "I know that if I were to go with you I would depend on you too much. That isn't what I need, but I still want you as a mentor. I want you to help me garner attention around the world and spread the knowledge I've gained from Aria. This isn't me saying no, but asking for a change in what you're offering? I'm certain that everything I experience, we will experience together and grow from it. This will really help us grow and mature.". Serena stands waiting for Palermo to respond. After her long explanation of her declining her offer again even after being given a second chance. She doesn't know if her new offer will work or even if she will be given a third chance.

Palermo: "Well, that's a shame. I want the best for you too. You're the very first person to turn down my offer of help from me, better yet offer me one. So have you thought about where your headed?"

Serena: "Where I'm headed?"

Palermo: "Dear, I'm not mad about your change in offering. Did I not tell you this, I'm a fan of you!"

Serena: "Really thanks!"

Palermo: "I suggest starting in the Hoene region, there they have Pokémon contests which are different then showcase but, they are a great way in earning experience and reputation."

Serena: "Great I'll do it!

Palermo: "Very well, when I come visit or when you visit me I want you to show me everything you learned while you were there. I'm looking forward to see all the ways you'll grow.
