Emilie's POV
Monday.
First day of school.
these kids have been together for years and here I come to wreck the peace. I'm terrified. I tried to pick a cute outfit but nothing looked good i settled for a white top and jeans.

i went downstairs after doing some makeup and other morning things for breakfast.

"hey sweets" My mum asked from the stove top.

"hi mum" I said slightly dismissing her.

"what no mother today?" she said.

"huh?" I was scrambling around to find a water bottle for school.

"never mind" she went back to whatever she was cooking.

"hey petal" my dad said as i entered the living room looking for my converse.

"mhm hi" i was so nervous and i was going to be late if i didn't hurry

He came and grabbed my shoulders and looked me in the eye.

"breathe, in and out. calm down it's no big deal"

boy that worked really well(!)

i rolled my eyes and walked over to my mum.

"are you driving me today?"

"yeah you ready to go?"

"nope" I said leaving for the car

We pulled up to the school and I was shaking like a snowman in a freezer. the kids in the car in front of us got out and I recognised the boy. Oliver. I smiled knowing he would be around.

i left the car saying bye to my mum. I knew i had to go to the secretary to get my timetable and locker code, but i didn't know where that was. I wandered around for a little bit until a little girl came over to me.

"are you lost?" she asked she was very straightforward.

"ummm yeah where's the secretary?"

"i'll take you!" she was so cute. 

The girl which i learned was Anna-kat  took me to the secretary and i got my stuff.
First period: Spanish with Señorita Harris. yay(!)

I got to the room and knocked as I was  a little late to the lesson.
"hi i'm new this is my first class,sorry for being late"
"That's fine don't be late again, You can sit next to cooper" she pointed to a boy sitting alone in the back.

I slipped into the spot beside him.

"hola amigo" he said.
"hola" i replied
"whats your nombre?" he said throwing in a spanish word out of nowhere. 
"umm i'm Emilie" i said smiling at the boy. 
"cooper" he responded even though i already knew.

We got told to sush and listen soon after.

I was so confused so i took a piece of paper and discreetly wrote do you get this on it and slid it across the desk.

When i heard scrubbing from beside me I turned my head to see a note nope but i got a friend who can tutor you if you need. he tutors me too!  I stifled a laugh and nodded to him and we waited out the rest of the lesson.

school was uneventful other than that Cooper gave me his number after spanish so he could give me his tutor hookup.

When i got home i watched criminal minds with my dad. He's convinced he would solve the crimes faster and that he is the most amazing detective/genius whatever that means. 

I went to bed happy that i met cooper and had a good day at school.
