RANT- Not an update

Alright I just need to get this out of my system and thought this would be a good outlet.

The current track of YRKKH is an abomination. Third gen barely lasted two years with two divorces and like a million weddings.

On off its the same track. Male lead falls for Female lead, both fall in love, get married, somebody dies, get divorced, time skip, get married again, somebody dies again, divorce again, time skip again and on and on and on.

Atleast with KaiRa track there was some depth between the characters so the constant divorces and marriages held some emotion for us watchers. Even though it was a tedious cycle of divorce and marriage, atleast we were rooting for the characters.

I genuinely thought AbhiRa was a cute couple. They had innocence and playfulness of a young first love and they were aesthetically pleasing. But they fell in love waaaaay too quickly. I understand the concept was for young, reckless love but who marries a person so quicky?! After being engaged to their sister first no less!

The characters were too two dimensional when the love story bloomed. Unlike the first two generations, their love felt too unnatural and shallow, relying on aesthetics to make it work.

Please understand I was an AbhiRa fan in the initial days of third gen and they were a gorgeous couple. They had good chemistry but the characters didn't evolve as much as the first few generation couples did.

Dude even Keerthi-Naksh, who weren't the main couple, had more depth to their love story.

It felt too rushed. Like maybe if they had shown AbhiRa's wedding after like a year of the third gen it would have engaged the watchers more too. Like those two spent half the time saving each other from danger and then bamn they love each other.

Don't get me wrong, I was rooting for them, but a rushed relationship is going to have a premature ending. Maybe they could have Abhimanyu's anger issues and Akshara's meddling before they got married to make an interesting plot line.

Or even if they wished to explore it after their marriage, they should have taken small steps. One mistake, bamn throw the bahu out of the house.

Even the first divorce with Anisha's death kinda made sense but they followed it with Neil's death too quickly. If they had maybe added another story arc and gave Neil more screen time, maybe the second divorce would have evoked more pain.

Now to the next segment of Akshnav where the plotline had more promise. They took it slow, untangled the difficult emotions and gave each character closure for what happened six years ago. Making Akshnav endgame would have also given yrkkh a new spin of doing something out of the box, something a tv serial rarely does.

The story had good premise during Abhir's custody of healing Abhimanyu and Akshara and be cordial friends.

The story would have been bittersweet to see AbhiRa interact while Akshara moved on in her relationship with Abhinav.

And killing Abhinav just ruined what yrkkh could have been. Understandably, they have to listen to viewers demand and make AbhiRa come together to keep the TRP up, I understand that. There is more to showbiz than just writing.

Again too rushed. From pinning Abhinav's death on Abhimanyu to Abhimanyu and Akshara becoming friends, it was just too fast.

The process of helaing was again jumped with another time skip. Healing just doesn't mean crying all the time, nobbody wanted a broken Akshara again.

They could have showed her becoming strong over time. One doesn't become strong just cause you beat up some goons (too cliche without any buildup)

If they wanted to patch up AbhiRa there were million ways to go about it. But no, they had to bring another pregnancy in.

All in all the show was just marriages, divorce and people dying. With the occasional celebrating festivals in between. The characters weren't done justice to. They had so much potential that went waste. They were handled too messily.

Also YRKKH has become predictable. The couple always has a boy first who has most attention when he is the kid. Time skip happens and the focus is shifted to the daughters/sisters who are always stuck in a love triangle to the point where they ruin their sisterhood bond over a guy. And the first born son who the veiwers gave so much love is forgotten.

Since KaiRa's track till the fourth gen, it's the same story.

It's emotionally exhausting cause these characters are so beautifully intricate and just reduced to be bride and grooms.

Sorry for the rant I just needed to get this out of my system. And thanks for the people who made it till the end of this rant.

As an end note I just want to add- Abhimanyu, Akshara, Aarohi, Kairav, Neil, Abhinav and the kids Abhir and Roohi deserved better stories. Each character was beautifully thought off but ruined in the process. My heart hurts for these characters and their wasted potential.
