Abhinav looked up at Akshara's expectant eyes and took her hand. "Akshara...mein zindagi bar akela raha hoon. Aur phir aap meri zindagi mein aayi. Socha tha ki aap ke safar mein saath doonga. Par mujhe kya pata tha hamara safar agle saath janmo thak hain."
Abhinav's eyes glistened, becoming emotional. "Aap mera pehla parivaar hain. Iss makkan ko ghar banaya aur is anant ko parivaar diya. Aapke mere zindagi me kadam rakhthe hi iss middle class aadmi ki toh lottery lag gayi ji."
The Goenkas laughed with watery eyes. Mimi clasped her hands, praying the evil eye is never cast on the two.
"Arz karo agar ijaazat?"
"Irshaad papa irshaad!" Abhir clapped his hands, the Goenkas joining in.
Abhinav clasped Akshara's hand tightly, the pain in his knee vanished. "Arz kiya hain, aapke aane se iss anant ki kismat khuli. Bassane mera ghar Udaipur se aayi meri-wali Kasauli."
"Wah wah, wah wah." Akshara said, mesmerised by this new side of her husband.
"Bassane mera ghar, Udaipur se aayi meri-wali Kasauli. Ab padosiyon ko kehtha hoon, mere ghar apsara aali."
"Ohhhhhhhhh......" The family applauded, Akshara trying to hide her face in her hand.
"Hai hai. Wah Jija-ji!" Aarohi teased, Abhinav scratching his neck sheepishly.
Abhinav looked at Abhir, the boy smiling as he watched his parents. "Akshara, aapne mujhe itna pyaara beta diya. Itne dinno se hum saathi ban kar reh rahe teh. Kya ab, iss kadam se.....hum jeevansaathi banne? Akshara.....kya aap mujhse shaadi karengi?"
Akshara smiled, tears of happiness falling as she nodded. "Yes."
The Goenkas erupted in loud cheers as Akshara hugged Abhinav, a tear of happiness spilling down her cheek.
The Birlas remained quiet, the true weight of what they lost weighing down on them.

Akshara kicked her heels, swinging in the beautiful swing Abhinav built for her, enjoying the cool breeze of Kasauli.
"Chai?" Abhinav appeared by her side with a cup tea.
"Aaye aaye dulhe ji." Akshara teased, laughing as Abhinav turned red.
"Akshara yeh sab jo ho raha hain aapko isse....."
"Bohot khushi mili hain....." Akshara smiled. "Meri maa kehthi thi ki rishta tab gehra hota hain jab saathi sajan ban jaata hain. Mujhe toh mere sajaan mein sabse best saathi mil gaya."
