Chapter 34: Potential Suspects

In an unknown place, the Star Bearers gather around as they stand facing Barbara and her living doll, Barbie.

The seriousness of the situation is critical as they all hold a serious expression on their faces.

"Barbara, How is your health?"

Benjamin asks as his deep voice echoes throughout the room.

"It poses no difficulty." Spoken by Barbara before she continues.

"And we are in no position to be discussing it."

Oliver walks in with his slightly hunched down posture.

"The source of the phantoms is definitely the soot pipes. As we suspected, the door to the soot-crushing room was left open, and both of the veiled dolls assigned full time to the soot pipes have soot sickness."

Behind Oliver is his face as he walks down the stairs and down to where the other Star Bearers gather.

"Soot is sent here through the pipes that run through every room, so a lot of scorches come through here."

Oliver continues upon arriving.

"After being set loose, they combined to form a phantom. After a great cleaning, the scorches are sent to Lord Grandfather's wing to be crushed and disposed of.

Given time, scorches will regenerate so it's done before that happens."

Barbara speaks as Barbie turns to her.

"They chose the precise time when they'd be the maximum number of scorches."

Not long after, Susanna's voice continues from there.

"This is your fault, Susie!"

Susanna holds Susie's chin in one hand while the other one rests firmly on her head as she continues to talk to Susie.

"Entrusting the coffee to others was the worst possible choice! You could've at least entrusted it to Y/N's face!"

Susie can be seen sweating nervously while trying not to show fear for she is Susanna's face and must display her emotion.

"Susanna..."

Barbara's voice gains Susanna's attention as she looks back at her.

"The one who favored the twins was you, wasn't it? Susie simply abided by your opinions. And perhaps, Y/N's face wasn't there."

Susanna continues to hold her living doll's face in her hand whilst Susie displays Susanna's emotion.

"If we're pointing fingers, then you and Barbie bear responsibility as well. Neither of you were there at all!"

Susanna lets go of her living doll's face as she protests against Barbara. You can clearly see Susie's worried look as she lays her eyes upon her Shadow Mistress.

"Let's not fight..! Not among Star Bearers.."

Oliver tries to break the argument as nervousness can be clearly seen on his living doll's face.

But then a voice resonates within the room causing the Star Bearers to turn their attention towards the person intruding.

"Please excuse us. Gil and Eve from the first-aid team, here to report!"

The guy from the first-aid team comes with another girl who we can assume that the guy is Gil whilst the girl is Eve.

Eve takes out her chart and begins the report.

"Two living dolls are seriously ill.

Ten have contracted light soot sickness.

Teams in which all members are healthy are the first-aid team, the research team, Doug's team, Belle's team.
