"You don't think Selina's gonna try and leave, do you?" Bruce questioned as he and Holly walked down the hall as they searched for Selina after her little outburst. "Well, the last time she left, she broke free and left my dad in the sewers. Maybe she'll stay since this is different, but you never know," Holly shrugged.
"I hope she does," Bruce muttered quietly. As they stepped back into the library, Holly noticed the shadow of a figure hiding behind the white curtains, and as the door behind the silks opened, she saw Selina looking into the vast green fields. "If you want to go somewhere, we can call you a taxi," Holly said, making Selina jump and turn around. "Geez, you guys move quietly," Selina commented. "So do you," Bruce spoke. "Are you leaving?" "I'm thinking about it," Selina admitted. "I'm sorry if talking about your family upset you," Bruce apologized.
Selina shook her head, claiming that she wasn't upset. "Kind of seemed like you were," Holly inhaled sharply. But Selina ignored it as she walked over to the desk, picking up a framed picture resting on one of the corners. "That's your mom, huh? She looks nice," She asked. "She was. You saw her the night she was killed?" Bruce answered. Selina slightly nodded as she put the photo back, and Bruce continued. "And you saw me? What I did? What I didn't do?" his voice was etched with guilt and shame.
"What are you talking about? What more could you have done?" Holly asked. "I don't know something. Anything! I could've done something to help them, and maybe they'd still be alive," Bruce murmured. "You're dreaming, kid. A gun's a gun," The library filled with silence as Selina sat back in her seat, eyeing both of them before changing the subject to something more light-hearted. "My mom's in show business. She sings and dances and does magic tricks. Gets paid, like, millions. But that's just a cover. Really, she's a secret agent for the government," Selina explained.
Whether Selina's story was made up or not, Holly couldn't deny that this was rather interesting the more Selina talked about it. Bruce also seemed rather intrigued. "She's on a secret mission. But when she's done, she's coming back to get me," Selina slightly smiled. "That's good," Bruce commented. Suddenly, Selina smiled with a mischievous grin as she stood up, slowly walking toward the tweens. "Have either of you ever kissed someone?" Selina questioned. "Uh... n-no," Bruce stuttered, his eyes shifting to his lap. "What about you, Hols?" Selina raised a brow.
But Holly remained silent, trying to keep a straight and hide the blushing in her cheeks. "Cat got your tongue?" Selina teased. Luckily, Alfred stepped into the room right in the nick of time, pausing the awkward situation. "Time for your studies, Master Bruce," The butler informed. "Thank you, Alfred," Bruce nodded as he stood up, following behind him. But Alfred turned around and looked back to Selina and Holly. "You're more than welcome to join us, Miss Gordon, Miss Kyle," he said.
"We'll be fine, thank you," Selina declined. We? Holly's eyes slightly widened. "You sure you'll be alright, Holly?" Bruce double-checked. "Ye-yeah, we'll be fine," Holly assured. With a slight wave, Bruce and Alfred continued down the hall. Selina on the other hand, plopped right next to Holly, the mischievous grin still plastered on her face.
"Looks like it's just us girls," Selina smirked.

Upon returning to the precinct after failing to take Hargrove back into their custody, things were about to turn from bad to worse as Mayor James arrived, and his face was red with embarrassment and rage. "Do you have any idea how many angry phone calls we've been getting this week? Got a terrorist out there!" He snarled. "And that's our fault?" Jim spoke up, crossing his arms. "Jim!" Essen warned. "No no, please," Mayor James dismissed, stepping closer to Jim as he tried to intimidate him, though it did little to no good.
