The Breaker

Yerin's POV

I need to get to that place faster. It's already 2:15 pm, and they will be at the park by 2:20. I know I'm late, but I have to run as fast as I can.

Oops! Too many people are walking on Pledis Street, and it's crazy because this is the shopping street of Source City.

Right now, I know I can make it... Oops! That's almost a hit...

BEEEEEP!!

"Sorry!" I shouted to the car, which almost hit me and ran again.

"Dashin run, run, run!" singing while running; great exercise though.

Finally! I made it.

Time check: 2:23 PM, and I can't find anybody in here. I looked around and... there... There they are! So I'm almost in time!

I fix myself first, especially my hair, because it's too frizzy now.

I slowly walked their way. His eyes are looking for something while he's with someone he's been dating for a week.

Then our eyes met, and he felt relieved to see my presence at his back, not too far or too close to them. He nods at me, and I know what he meant, but his eyes became bigger when the girl started to interlock her fingers with his. Nice!

Poor Jun, he can't endure this anymore, and it's too obvious with his expression. I know.

I started to run into them and bumped into the girl.

As expected, the girl got mad at me.

"You dumb! Look at your way! You're ruining our date!" she shouted at me, and this is where I execute our plan.

"Sorry? Did you just call me 'dumb'?" I don't care since I'm not affected anyway.

"Yes! Because you are." Oh, look at this girl's attitude. I felt bad for Jun. Now I am more willing to break these two apart.

I started to look at Jun and act like I was surprised to see him with her.

"Hey! Jun? What are you doing here? And why are you with her?" I shouted and gave Jun a glare on purpose.

Jun shook his hands and started to break the gap with the girl.

"Yerin, you're misunderstanding it all. We are not together. We just met right now. Yeah, like that!" he acted poorly.

"You really don't know how to lie in front of your fiance, Jun. I see, you're being unfaithful." I crossed my arms.

"Excuse me. I'm not getting anything here. What's going on?" she said, looking at Jun. "Jun? You're already arranged with that girl?"

I grab Jun and cling my arms to his, then show my fingers with a ring. It's not really an engagement ring, and I just found it somewhere. I might as well use this as my prop.

The girl unbelievably holds my finger to check the ring, then I immediately get it back.

"Isn't it nice? So tell me again, what are you doing here?" The girl just slaps Jun's face and runs away.

Oooh. That hurts!

When we can't finally see her, I burst into laughter because the girl just slapped Jun.

Jun didn't speak. He's pissed and leaves me in that place. I'm used to it now. After I do things like that, he will leave me afterward and will not speak to me again except if he needs me again.

Three days have passed, and I'm now at the canteen, drinking my yogurt while reviewing my notes for the next subject.

Then suddenly someone closed my notes, which is why I started to glare at him.

"Yah! Why did you... hey Hoshi!" It's Hoshi, my childhood friend. We've known each other for 7 years already, and he's the reason why I'm enrolled in this school.

"Hahaha, why with that tiger look, Yerin?"

"You're rude, you know that?"

"I know. Sorry. Just want to ask if you've seen Uno?"

"Uno? He's Jun, right?" Yeah, they have this kind of alias in their groups. So corny!

Although Hoshi is my reason for coming here to school, it was Jun's presence that made me stay here. I know Hoshi likes someone now, and she's my buddy.

After class, I started to walk into our dorm, which is now 20 minutes away.

"Hello?" I ask again.

"Hey! You hear me, Yerin?"

"Jun?"

"Good! I thought you couldn't hear me. By the way, please come here immediately. I need you now."

"Huh? Really? I mean, this urgent?" It's unbelievable. This is the first time he called me right away when he needed me. Unlike before, he'll message me a day before we do the act. I wonder how terrible his date is this time.

"Yah! Are you listening? I said come to the park again. Now!"

"But... I'm still in my uniform, and I still have my homework to do! Besides, I'm still on my way to my dorm. I haven't eaten yet!"

"So what? I need you here right at this moment, so you must need to come here!"

I just closed my fists and started to walk into the girls' place. I couldn't believe that I was actually doing this for him. I thought he's nice when he's not!
