My heart beats fast as I finally approach our new house. It looks okay; well at least it's better than our old house in Davao.

But stil I'll miss that house.

 All of my sad and happy memories were stored in there. Guess I couldn't stop this from happening. Hn. Funny, I should have gotten used to this... moving house to house because of my dad's work.

Guess I'm still not used to leaving things behind.

My name is Havanica Raven Valdez, 16 years old. Filipino American.

I've only lived in the Philippines for about four years. That's the longest we've ever settled in a place. Though I still love speaking in English, my dad's an American while my mom's a pure PINOY.

We just moved here in Manhattan last week. It just took time to make arrangements for the new house we were to settle in. And for the rest of that week we were stuck living in a motel.

It had something to do with my dad's work that we moved here. It always has something to do with his work.

We're currently gonna live in a small village called Jewel. Though I'm still hoping to go back in my old home someday, but till then I'm having my junior year here, In a school I'm obviously not familiar with.

My dad says it's a 'great' school. He keeps on telling me not to worry because his business partner's son goes to school there too.

If I remember it correctly that guy's name was Clary? No wait it was Clarence! His name was Clarence.

Anyways, school starts tomorrow, am I nervous? Maybe.

Psh. Well I better be not! I don't wanna act like a wimp in my first day of school.
