Chapter 26: The Hatchery

*Ian's POV*

"Yeah...? My sunglasses are magic. They give me this cool ability to see threw peoples pokeballs." I said. Didn't through people know there were 5 magic items? I mean I could see these 4 had the others, the champions amulet which originally held all the magic and then the goggles, headphones and bracelet which were items of the elite four in attempts to separate the magic. This was a story my mom and dad told me before our village was raided and I ran away. The cloaked kid still looked astonished.

"If he has a magic item that means he can be trusted, right?" The girl with goggles said.

"I trust him." The girl with the bracelet replied.

This was getting confusing. "Hey umm what're all of your names?" I asked.

They all told me there names, the called Bodil had a thick accent which was very funny. But as we stayed here chit-chatting the closer the mobs were getting.

"Look, I'm not asking you to be my best buddy yet but if you don't wanna get eaten, follow me." I said pulling away and began walking away with my turtwig.

I heard the quiet muttering of them discussing behind me and quickly heard their foot steps follow behind me. One of the girls, Mo walked up next to me with her Bulbasaur.

"What's up?" I asked her.

"Umm... This is gonna sound dumb but... Thank you for four years ago..." She said quietly.

I smiled. "Don't mention it."

I saw a small smile creep on her lips which i guess was good. I mean her village just burnt down so a smile was very good.

"Um excuse me? But where are we going?" The mudkip mutant, Quentin asked.

"Err I guess you could call it my home." I replied.

"Ok."

After a lil while of quick walking we came to the bush that kept the entrance of my home hidden. The others all looked around confused that there was no visible building.

"Uhh Ian...? Where's the building?" Sky asked.

"It's not visible to the eye but it's there." I replied.

The girl with the goggles, Ez walked over to the bush and walked through it into my home. Mo followed and soon everyone did. I followed last making sure everyone got in safely. They followed the hallway down to the main room.

"What is this place?" Bodil asked looking around.

"Could it..." Seto muttered quietly to himself. He already knew he just wasn't sure.

"That's right, it's a hatchery." I said opening the big doors revealing a bunch of eggs and baby pixelmon.

"Awwwwwww!!" Mo and Ez cried. Them both being girls that was a natural response. The guys all looked around wide eyed in amazement.

"I didn't know there were any of these left. I thought they were all destroyed." Seto said in awe.

"Almost. I found this one when I was a lil kid and I stayed here a lot of the time till it became my home. Although, sorry you can't have any of the already hatched Pokemon."

"How come?" Quentin asked.

"They think I'm their how do I say it... Care taker. So going with other trainers isn't a good idea." I explained.

"Oh yeah, when Pokemon hatch out of their eggs the first living thing they see they think is their parent or care taker." Quentin said.

I smiled and nodded. "But there are plenty of eggs, so look around and if you see any that look cool I can tell you what's inside with my glasses."

"Cool!" Ez cried.

I smiled. "But for tonight, get some sleep. You've all had a long day."

Everyone gave a slight nod, I pointed them to the back where I kept some extra beds. They all made their way back there and laid down on the beds and very quickly fell asleep. Ty's Zorua slept in the crook of his arm. I wasn't really tired so I sat down on my bed and was quickly surrounded by the baby Pokemon. These four people also had magical items. That must mean something. Is it blind luck? Maybe... Or maybe it was fate... I wasn't sure and eventually I fell asleep.
