You had returned to the hospital, feeling more energized after grabbing a quick meal. The earlier exhaustion had melted away, replaced by a sense of readiness for the tasks ahead. Stepping through the familiar automatic glass doors, you were once again greeted by the cacophony of hospital noises—beeping machines, distant conversations, and hurried footsteps. It was a symphony of chaos that both comforted and irritated you; you had never been fond of loud, unnecessary noise, especially in a workplace.

Walking towards the reception desk, you spotted Bora, the receptionist, who seemed slightly annoyed by your presence, though you couldn't fathom why. "Oh, it's you again," she grumbled, meeting your eyes briefly. "You already know what to do, right?"

You nodded politely. "Yes, thank you."

"Alright, you should get to work then if you wanna finish on time," Bora replied briskly, her tone not exactly inviting further conversation.

Thanking Bora quietly, you made your way down the hallway towards the patients' rooms. Many were heading to the dining hall for their meals, leaving the corridors relatively quiet. Reflecting on your brief interaction with Bora, you realized it hadn't been particularly helpful; you already knew your duties for the day.

Approaching Jungkook's room, you paused momentarily outside. You were familiar with the routine now—no need to knock, just enter and tidy up. It was a relief that the patients weren't in their rooms during your cleaning time; it made your task easier and less awkward.

Inside, Jungkook's room looked just as you had left it—tidy and organized, with a few personal touches that spoke of his personality. You efficiently went about your task, picking up any stray items, straightening the bed, and ensuring everything was in place. In a matter of minutes, you were satisfied with your work and moved on to the next room.

Room by room, you repeated the process, now on your way to the third patient. With two rooms down, you were making good progress—five more to go. As you prepared to enter the next room, you noticed Jungkook and Jimin approaching you.

"Oh, hey Y/N! What are you doing here?" Jungkook greeted you cheerfully, his smile infectious.

"Hey!" You returned his smile warmly. "I'm just cleaning your rooms."

Jungkook's expression faltered slightly. "Did you already do ours?"

"Yeah, yours and Jimin's," you replied, noting the disappointment in Jungkook's eyes.

Jimin sighed lightly. "Well, the others will be on their way soon too."

"Is something wrong?" you asked, noticing their change in demeanor.

"N—" Jimin started, but Jungkook interrupted smoothly, "Yes, actually. I was wondering if you could do something for me in my room."

You looked between them, sensing Jungkook's innocent facade and Jimin's amused skepticism. Jungkook's earnest gaze and soft smile were hard to resist, but you knew better than to fall for his charm so easily.

"I could come by your room after I finish with these," you offered diplomatically, trying to keep the situation professional.

Jungkook hesitated, then smiled softly. "Honestly, I'd prefer it if you came now. I don't know if it can wait."

"I really need to get this done, Jungkook," you insisted gently, brushing a strand of hair from your face.

His expression fell momentarily, disappointment flickering in his eyes before he masked it with a smile. "You know what, it can wait. Thanks, Y/N."

You returned his smile warmly, appreciating his understanding. Turning towards the next room, you missed the exchange between Jungkook and Jimin, where the latter scoffed playfully, earning a shove from Jungkook.

As you walked away, you couldn't help but feel a pang of curiosity about their intentions. Yet, you remained oblivious to their playful antics and hidden motivations. For now, your focus was on completing your tasks efficiently and respectfully, ensuring each patient's space was cared for with diligence and empathy.

You finished cleaning the last room, surveying your work with a sense of accomplishment. The rooms were tidy and ready, a testament to your efficiency and attention to detail. Gathering your things, you exited the room, recalling the task Jungkook had requested of you.

His name echoed in your mind as you groaned inwardly, annoyed at the prospect of having to cater to his whims. You chastised yourself for feeling irritated; Jungkook seemed kind and harmless, surely his request was genuine.

Walking down the hallway towards his room, which you remembered was near the beginning of the corridor, you felt a pang of guilt for your earlier thoughts. Maybe he genuinely needed your help with something urgent. Pushing aside your annoyance, you stopped in front of his door and knocked.

"Come in!" Jungkook's voice called out, sounding unexpectedly enthusiastic.

You grasped the door handle and pushed it open slowly, revealing Jungkook sitting on his bed. "Hey," he greeted warmly as you entered.

"Hi," you responded, stepping inside and leaving the door slightly ajar. "What did you need me for?" A small smile graced your face as you posed the question.

"I was just wondering if I could ask you a question," Jungkook replied, his expression a mix of uncertainty and seriousness.

You raised an eyebrow curiously. "Really? You needed me to come all the way here just for a question?"

Jungkook glanced down at his hands, frowning slightly as he picked at his nails. "It's kind of private. I don't really have anyone else to ask but you. You can leave if you want."

His emotional reaction tugged at your heartstrings, replacing your annoyance with empathy. Closing the door behind you, you walked over and sat down next to him.

"Hey, I'm sorry if I seemed harsh earlier. You can always talk to me about anything," you reassured him, placing a gentle hand on his. Jungkook's initial smirk faded, replaced by a grateful smile as he covered your hand with his own.

"It's okay, don't worry. I'm sorry for wasting your time."

"No, you're not wasting my time. I'm here for you," you insisted softly, offering him a reassuring smile.

Jungkook sighed, turning his head slightly to look at you. "Okay," he began tentatively, meeting your gaze. "I want... I need to get out of here."

You understood his meaning, but the gravity of his words weighed heavily on you. "What do you mean?" you asked gently, unsure of how to respond.

"This place," Jungkook explained quietly, his voice tinged with frustration. "I've been stuck here for two years. I just need to leave, even if it's just for a day or two."

Your heart sank with empathy for him, but you were at a loss. "But what do you want me to do, Jungkook?" you asked honestly, feeling inadequate in the face of his longing.

"You need to break me out, Y/N,"
