Avatar: True Love

Confusion

*Katara's Pov*

I've lived with Sokka my entire life. I know how he acts and what he's feeling. Until now. Now i can't even begin to guess what is wrong with him.

"Toph? Can i ask you a question?"
" What's up sugarqueen?"
" Well, do you know what's wrong with Sokka?"
She picks something out of her ear.
" Nope. Don't care."
I sigh. She's never any help.

I walk around the market. I have to find enough food to last us a while. I have to remember to buy lots of meat for Toph, Sokka, and I. I also have to buy fruit for Aang.

As i pay for the last of the food, i hand a few bags to Toph.
" What's this?" She asks.
"Uhh...a special surprise for you. You can't open it yet through. I just thought you would like holding your gift." I say.

She stands there for a bit. She then sniffs the bag.
" You know, you've gotten better at lying. Almost fooled me." She said. I groaned. Almost had her.
" I'll hold it anyway. I'm feeling nice."

We get back to Appa to load up the stuff. As i look around, i noticed that most of the bushes around the area have been stripped of their fruit. Poor guy must me hungry. I grab a head of cabbage from one of the bags and toss it in his mouth.

When we land at the temple, i notice Aang just sulking by the main fountain. I walk up to him and sit down.
" Everything all right?" I ask.
"Mmhmm."
"Aang you can talk to me."
" How about you talk to your brother. He needs it more." He says coldly.
" I'm guessing you guys had an argument."
" More like he completely flipped out at me."

I nod my head and stand up.
" Do you know where he is?" I say. He points to a dark hall.

I walk into a small dark area.
"Sokka?"
" Over here." I hear a muffled voice say.
I look over and see him sitting with his knees up to his chest and his head in between them.

"Sokka. What's wrong? You seem really out of it lately."
" I'm just really annoyed right now.
" About what?"
" About stuff."
" Can you tell me?"
" No."
" Why not?"
" Because i said so!"
" Sokka please i-"
" I SAID I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!"

I look at him in shock. He never snaps like that. Now i know why Aang was mad.

" Please, just leave me alone." He says. Instead, i hug him. He doesn't hug back right away but eventually he does. I then hear him start crying.

" I'm so confused." He sobs out.
" It's okay." I say rubbing his back. I let him cry himself out. When he stops i let go of the hug. " I'm always here for you. Okay?"
I say. He nods his head. I give him a smile and walk off.

Hopefully he will open up to me later. If not to me than to someone.
