Hey there readers, if you didn’t know. After Lucent Eyes III, I plan on writing Lucent Eyes IV (Or any other name) to be based around the Lightfall DLC and Neomuna and stuff. But the story of the Lightfall DLC sucks as it never explains what the Veil was, and Neomuna felt out of place when you consider the whole Humanity struggling to survive and all that.
Which is why I wanted to ask you all a question: Should Lightfall take place in the Last City rather than Neomuna? Basically Calus and his Shadow Legion attacks the Last City and lands in the middle of it, causing a full on war inside the Last City between the Shadow Legion and the Guardians.
There will be the Veil and Strand in this story as Hus’Ak and the Guardian fight throughout the City.
Perhaps as a backstory, Savathûn hid the Veil on Neptune but the Witness easily finds it and gives it to Calus as they slowly make their way to the Traveler.
(Like why didn’t the Witness destroy Neomuna and get the Veil before we knew about it? Since they were surrounding the Sol System and stuff?)
And during the start of Lightfall, Calus is sent to the Last City to essentially ‘plant’ the Veil while destroying the Guardians so the Witness has no opposition. At the end, the Veil is fully ‘planted’ and is activated, causing a beam to travel to the trapped Traveler and allow the Witness to create a portal to the Pale Heart (if the Final Shape DLC takes place there)
Essentially that's the difference between this idea of Lightfall which will fit much more with the original concept art titlecreen compared to the Lightfall that we got.

TL;DR: Essentially, we’re removing Neomuna out of the Destiny Universe, at least in the Lucent Eyes series.
But on a side note, the seasons after the Lightfall DLC like Season of Defiance, Season of the Deep, and Season of the Witch, will all happen. As basically at the end of the Lightfall story, the Shadow Legion and Calus is defeated but his ship remains in the Last City with the Veil which will allow us to study it as the Witness disappear into the portal.
