"Oh my God, this is so heavy," Claire whined, tugging on her fluorescent pink suit case that was slowly chugging along the mechanical belt.
The class had made there way to the luggage collection and were hurriedly scanning over the suit cases. Half of the group had already managed to haul their bags off the rotating belt and were now standing off to the side, waiting for the rest of the class whiling occupying themselves on their phones.
Claire was still struggling to drag her suit case from the mechanical belt. "Uh... Can someone help me out here? I can't get it off, the belt is moving too fast!"
"How much does it even weigh?" Zac asked with a deep smile, walking over to where her bag was still travelling along the belt, which she had given up on. Zac carefully gripped the handle attached to the bag, however, also failed to pull the suitcase of the belt.
"This is harder that it looks," he grumbled to himself. "And this weighs how many kilos again? Sorry, I didn't quite catch it before."
"Step aside." It was Stefan, striding over to Zac and pushing him gently away. Forgetting his leg injury, Stefan cracked his fingers before grabbing hold of the suit cases handle. There came a loud scratching sound as he slowly managed to lug the massive suit case off the luggage belt and onto the cool surface of the floor. After wheeling Claire's bag back towards her silently, he casually walked off to the rest of the boys as if what he had just achieved was nothing, well aware that most of 8A's eyes were on him.
Claire stood stunned next to her bright suit case, which actually measured over thirty kilograms. Then she let out a awkward laugh, reached down to grab her suitcase and pulled it after her to the rest of the girls (with the exception of Johanna and Lucette) who were laughing and smirking at her. They had all gathered their bags and closed around Claire in a huddle as soon as she finally made it to them, slowed by the weight of her suit case.
Meanwhile, Lucette and Johanna with the aid of Ed were searching for their luggage. They both owned identical bags: black with many pockets and compartments covering the surface. Each stupidly had a ice blue ribbon delicately tied around one of the many zips which made it quite difficult for anyone to tell the suitcases apart from one another. They were both circling the baggage collection belt, sifting through the bags.
"I see one!" Lucette called to Johanna in a happy tone and ran over towards the suitcase. Her face dropped when she reached it and realised it didn't belong to either of them. "Never mind, wrong one."
"Where are they, oh my God. We have been looking for at least ten minutes now," Johanna said in a frustrated voice to Eduardo who was checking the zips of a black suit case not far away from her.
"It's not this one," he replied after examining all the zips and failing to find an ice blue ribbon dangling off one.
Lucette gazed over at the rest of their class. Most of them had already found and collected their luggage off the belt, excluding Hannah and Thomas who seemed to be in the same boat. "Oi, Hannah! Have you found yours?"
"Nap, I have searched through every bag and it still hasn't turned up. Every things getting lost, like, what?" she said humorously.
Thomas came over to join the chat after rummaging through a small pile of bags that steadily chugged along the baggage belt. "I hope we find them, all my stuff is in there," Thomas stressed, resting his hands on the back of his head.
"Awh, no shit Twelvie," Lucette returned sarcastically. Thomas rolled his eyes at the comment, he had become accustom to the nickname the class had silently chosen for him.
All of a sudden, Johanna happily skipped over to the Ed, Hannah, Lucette and Thomas, hand in hand with her suitcase. I satisfied smile coated her face and features. "I found mine," she said, jumping up and down while switching her legs in a half lunge stance, hands straight at her sides. It was commonly referred to as 'Johanna's dance'.
