I’m heading to class after I drop my bag in the locker. A blonde hair good-looking man immediately noticed me when I show up by the little window in the upper left of the classroom door. I was just about to knock on the door when he gently opens it for me and without my notice, my cheeks are all red, I let out a smile. His eyes are as green as grass and he’s got a nice lips. But my anxiety apparently glances through my body as I walk in. I drag my feet to come inside the class. I look down and everyone remains silent. What’s going on?
“This is Sarah, our new student”, says the man who stands beside me, he eventually breaks the silence. He sexually rubs my back to tease me but I immediately slap his hand as a response, which makes everyone in class gets suddenly noisy and crowded. I can hear some of them talking bad about me, like:
“Whoa, she’s sassy” “No, she bad” “I like her, but she’s ugly” “Eww she shouldn’t be here” “Why the fuck is she here? We don’t need a new student” and blah…blah…blah… They make me sick. If only I could throw a brick at them, I would. But on the other side, I just want to run and cry in the corner.
“Stop!” I shouted loudly. I hate being treated like this. As a new student, I should be treated nicely by the others. Everyone is instantly turning and glaring at me, all of them. Except one guy that is sitting calmly at the right corner of the class. He has pale skin, and a light brown hair. He’s on his own world, looking across the window, smiling. He is wearing a checkered shirt and sunglasses. Why is he wearing sunglasses in class? And the girl who sits in front of him is…. weird. She's got a dark blue eyes with thick eyelashes, black and straight hair. Her skin is as pale as the guy who sat behind her, and she always blinks like every 3 seconds. She smiles friendly to me, realizing my eyes on her. I plant a light smile to her as a reply.
“I’m your English teacher. You can call me Jason” he winks at me but I ignore him. I would rather to call him Mr. ‘Yucky’. "Whatever", I quickly drift myself along the front rows and take a sit on an empty chair at the left corner of the class. That’s the only empty chair in class. “Shit”, I mutter. I open my book as Mr. Jason starts the class. Sometimes he’s checking on me and all I do is just looking at him in disgust. I was doing the assignment when all of a sudden a paper ball flies towards my head.
“Who is…” but instead of asking, I quickly pick it up and unfold the paper to read what it says:
“You’re looking good in a way. Wanna make out? ;)”
I look around to see who threw it to me, but nobody is seen laughing or giggling. They're all doing the paper. What the hell! I just came to this school and I already hate it. First, I get bullied and teased in class. And now I have someone who wants to make out with me? I rip the paper off with my hands. What kind of guy is asking such a disrespectful thing to me? I let out a depressing sigh as the bell rings for recess. I go to the canteen on my own and eat the food that I brought from home. Whilst eating, I pull my phone out and switch it on. I want to text Bella and tell her about the horrible day I’ve been going through. I scroll down the screen to find Bella’s number and I quickly write her a message.
“Hey Bells,
Sorry I had to end the call earlier. I was with the vice principal. First day is horrible! I get bullied and I have someone who’s asking to make out with me eww! I wanna go back to DC so bad! How's your day going? Is everyone okay there? Looking forward seeing your reply! Miss you lots xoxo”
Then I click send. Two minutes later my phone vibrates, a reply from Bella.
“Haha but you’re gonna enjoy it there, trust me! London is better than DC! I’m suffocating at school because I have to meet Dicky every day. Everyone is okay, Gemma and Olivia were inviting me to go to Hera's party, we're gonna have a sleepover there tonight. Gonna be fun! Wish you could join us. Anyway, got any attractive guys you see?”
I quickly write a reply.
“Lucky! Take me out of here! *sigh* no, all I see is a bunch of weirdo’s and idiots!”
Minutes later, I get a reply from Bella.
"Aww! But you're gonna find one soon I suppose. I have to get ready, chat later babe!"
I insert my phone back into my pocket then walk down the hall back to class.
When I got to the class, I see the checkered shirt guys is still looking out the window, still on his sunglasses. I wonder what he's looking at all day, he doesn't even make a move since this morning.
But suddenly he turns to me. He pulls off his sunglasses. My eyes are locked to his golden eyes that shine as bright as a pearl, and his body is sparkling as the sun fills up the room. The shaved sides of his shining brown hair look so perfect. His sweet lips are curving a smile to me. I’m paralyzed. He's too much overwhelming. He’s too beautiful. Everything else seems suddenly faded, all I see is him. Only him. I was going to walk closer, but a ponytailed light brown hair girl who comes out of nowhere pushed me away to the table sides. I fell down and my waist hit the tables really hard and it's hurt. I'm trying to get back upright and ask her if she could be nicer, but she pushed me back again and laughed.
“You’re just a fucking loser!” she shrieked, walking out. I clenched my hand. She’s getting into my nerves. I instantly get up and fix my hair then chase her in the corridor.
“What’s wrong with you? What did I do?!” I shouted.
“You can’t flirt with him! He’s dangerous!”, she replies, keep walking along the corridor.
“What do you mean he’s dangerous? Who are you?” I ask with a lower voice because apparently everyone in the corridor is watching me. She pretends to not listen to me and walk faster. I roll my eyes and yelled, “Hey!”
She finally stops in front of the library and turns her face to me, folding her hands in front of her medium-sized chests. She rolls her dark green eyes, “You’ll find it out yourself. Don’t blame me if he hurts you, you have been warned” she holds the doorknob. Right before she gets into the library, I grip her left arm tightly. She looks up to me when I ask firlmly, “Who are you?”
“Hayley, Hayley Porter. Here, just incase if you need anything” she presses a piece of paper into my chest.
I take the paper and release the grip letting her go. She wrote her number on the paper. I walk back to the class, thinking. I have to talk further about this with Hayley. I’m gonna call her tonight.
The bell rings. The next class is about to start. I rush to the class before the teacher comes. Surprisingly, no one is making fun of me anymore during class. One good thing. I even make friends with a girl named Kayden Tomlinson….
