"look, you're my friend. I don't think I can say this any nicer, what's going on with you?" She asked. I shrugged my shoulders, I mean, I wasn't lying. I'm sure there's something going on, but I don't know what it is.
It's always so awkward hanging out with book. She's very. . . Friendly. She's just trying to be helpful, but I don't need help. Bracelety too, they're always talking about me. It's nice having friends that care about me but they're a little too supportive sometimes.
"Icy? Are you okay? You've just been staring at the wall." She shook me by the shoulders. I nodded quickly, "sorry." I added.
"You're okay hun, just checking on you," She smiled. "do you want me to walk you to the van?"
I nodded again. She refuses to let me walk anywhere alone, really. Even if it's just a few feet away like the van.
Our team has a pretty nice setup, abandoned buildings in a U shape, and the van closing it off. It's quite nice. I like being alone with my friends, it's . . . safer with just my friends.
Me, Ruby, and Pencil are sleeping in the van. They only let three people sleep in the van at a time... For some reason. Me and Ruby are the priority because we're the youngest on the team... I guess. I don't know how old Ruby actually is, but she's older than I am.
I should probably just shut up and go to bed.
Book stood behind me as I stared at the van, suddenly, she spoke, "Goodnight, ice cube!! Do you need me to bring some things for sleeping? Do you need a nightligh---"
"no." I interrupted.
"...yeah, okay!! I'll cya tomorrow morning, ice cube!! Goodnight!" She walked away. . . Finally.
Book is a good friend, she cares about me, but she tries too hard. I don't think I like being babied. She's definitely trying. . . It feels gross to have someone always willing to do what I want. I feel gross when I hang out with her.
