Lynix's POV

Just as I was about to sit down on my comfortable couch, I heard a loud knock on my door, making me groan for the umpteenth time today. I swear, if it's Rage or Bionic, I feel like I'm about to lose control. I might end up causing harm to them or myself.

I opened the door to see the soft brown eyes of Quiff, with his fluffy blonde hair and brown sides. I stared at him with confusion, hearing him mutter under his breath as he smiled.

"Hey Lynix, would you like to participate in a potion-making competition with me?" Quiff asked in a friendly and welcoming tone. His kind voice gave me a little reassurance that he wouldn't try to harm me like the other two. However, even after this reassurance, I had a hunch telling me that he couldn't be trusted.

"I'm willing to have a potion-making competition with you, under the condition that you don't cheat," I respond, being cautious of his intentions. I knew he had a tendency to cheat, but that wasn't my main concern. My worry was that he might attempt to do something else. Much worse than cheating... But his intentions seem friendly.. enough..

I refuse to trust anyone on this server anymore.

"I assure you, I'll do my best," Quiff replies with a confident grin as he hands me the necessary items that a potion needs to be made. I place the items in my inventory bag before turning to Quiff, and observing his facial expressions for anything that can conform to my little gut feeling. But. I was left with nothing...

"Come on. I don't have all day..." Quiff says as he leads me out to the decently big witch-like house on the mountain horizon. Players usually come here to make potions... Wait. Now that I think of it. Why does Quiff want to do a potion-making competition... I thought he was into building, not potion-making. Something isn't sitting right here...

"So what are we mak-" I tried to say before I was rudely cut off by Quiff's ignorant speaking. What is his problem today...

"We are making potions you dumb blonde. Any potion you like... You have 3 minutes... Good luck!" Quiff says with a grin as he skips into a potion room, keeping his huge grin on his face. That worries me... But I shake it off and go into one of the other potion rooms, setting up the stuff on the wooden table.

"Ok... What should I make... Invisibility? No.. Fire Resistant? Nah... Hm..." I talk to myself placing a hand on my chin and looking down in thought before letting out a bored sigh, still deep in thought of what potion to make.

"Hm. How about strength... No Quiff is definitely gonna do a strength potion... Ah hah! A regeneration potion. That's good." I say to myself in a loud and proud tone, obviously happy for my 'genius' choice.

I started to work on the regeneration potion fast, first putting the blaze powder in to activate the Brewing Stand and then adding the water bottle, which I swiftly took off the table.

I started looking through some of the witch's books for the recipe, even if it was cheating... Luckily for me. I found the very needed information...

I sigh as I look at the activated Brewing Stand. I take the Ghast Tear and Nether Wart off the wooden table full of different potion-making items and place the Nether Wart in the top piece, reading the instructions in the witch's book carefully, not wanting to mess up on the potion.

My eyes scan the instructions before finally adding the ghastly tear waiting patiently and smiling to myself as I watch the potion blend into different colors before standing in a blended light red making me grin proudly to myself.

"I'm so good at this!" I say out loud grabbing the potion off of the Brewing Stand and walking out of the potion room with a huge, very proud grin spread across my face.

My grin quickly disappears turning into a shocked and confused one as I see Quiff leaning against the wooden walls, a potion bottle held tightly in his left hand, I can't see the colour of it, as my eyes narrow looking at it. I noticed it was a splash potion... Something is wrong.

"Oh. Hey Lynix... Ready to see the potions we made? How about you go first..." Quiff offered with a smile, I couldn't tell if it was creepy or friendly... I'm hoping it's friendly... But I feel like it's highly unlikely...

I show Quiff my regeneration potion giving a small awkward smile... I see Quiff's dark brown eyes glare at the bottle of red liquid, his smile widening.

"Lynix.. May I ask you a question..." Quiff asks, well. His tone made it sound more like a demand. This just makes my nerves rise even more, almost making sweat drip down my forehead.

"Uh, sure..." I reply staring at Quiff, waiting for him to ask his question.

"What would you do for riches?" Quiff asks tilting his head as he plays with the splash potion between his fingers with a smile, the potion is a nice green blended through with blue and turquoise in an unnatural blending way. It was not a normal potion...

"A lot..." I answered looking down at the spruce-planked floor, avoiding Quiff's eyes, but I could feel him glaring at me.

"Well. I must say one thing..." Quiff states making me look up slightly nervous but curious about what he wants to say, waiting for him to answer.

Before he could say anything a potion was thrown on me, the black bubbling liquid through my body as I fell to the hard wooden floor my vision going dark. Before my vision goes black I see Quiff kneel in front of me, even though it was extremely blurry.

I slowly lose consciousness the last thing I hear is a small laugh and...

"I'm sorry, Lynix."
